a vision seen in sleep; a dreamit was oddly quiet in the car. i didn't feel like saying a word though since i felt like they would have yelled out at me to shut my mouth. i walked in the house behind the two of them.
"pony, take a seat." darry said sternly. i cautiously walked my way over to the couch. i rested my hands in my lap. darry and soda hesitantly looked at each other but soda spoke up.
"pony, this is gonna be quite hard for you and we'll all be here for you." he said, sadness laced in his tone. i slowly nodded my head. i looked towards darry. "bella was shot and killed at school." he told me as a single tear rolled down his cheek as he stared at his work shoes.
my breathing became heavy and my jaw was set firm. i let my head drop down and soon the tears kicked in. i cried for hours that whole day, and the following, and the week after, and so on.
no one would ever forget bella frey, well at least i wouldn't. but by now it was three years later and i'm still dreading it. i looked towards the clock for it to read 5:59 a.m.
i groaned and rested my head on my table. i walked over and packed the few things i needed for school and got dressed. i had to get to school a little earlier since i had to meet with my english teacher.
i said a quick goodbye to darry and soda and made my way to school. the day before, i let johnny know i wasn't going to be able to walk with him this morning.
in the matter of minutes i was standing in front of the big school. i walked my way up the steps and towards my english room. the door was slightly left opened and i peaked my head inside to see mr. kenny reading the daily newspaper.
i walked over to one of the desks in the front and pulled out some papers. as he noticed me, he set down his newspaper and turned his attention. i plopped the small stack of papers on his desk.
"well that's quite a lot mr. curtis." he said as he ran his thumb through a few pages. "yeah, i know." i looked down towards my old, dirty converse.
"your grade will be going up soon enough pony. thank you for coming in early, i'll see you in class." he told me as he pushed up his glasses on his nose. i walked my way towards the door.
though before i left i turned around. "and please, take your time reading that. it's very special, well she was very special." the man gave a small nod towards the tall blonde, and began his reading.
it was a cold night in the town of tulsa, oklahoma...
