Later that day, Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry was almost entirely back to its original condition. The damage that had been caused by the war had mostly been reversed and many of the students had begun to busily discuss what life was going to be like once classes were up and running again. Even Aria was excited about classes starting again, even though her mind had been somewhat preoccupied by other matters recently.
As she thought of the blond-haired Slytherin, he entered the Hufflepuff common room and his eyes began to scan it in search of Aria. Once his eyes had found her, he made his way towards her.
"Hi," he said, as soon as he reached her.
"Hey, you," Aria said, with a kind smile upon her own face.
"Anywhere more private that we can go to?" Draco asked her and Aria gave a nod of her head.
She took Draco's hand in hers and led the two of them towards one of the Hufflepuff bedrooms.
Fortunately, the room was completely empty apart from them. At least it had been, until Hannah Abbott showed up.
Draco sighed and swiftly apparated the two of them into one of the Slytherin bedrooms.
They had only been in the room for several moments and then all of a sudden Draco had one of his hands in her hair and the other one placed gently upon her neck. He pressed his lips against hers almost instinctively and backed the two of them into a nearby wall, as he continued to kiss her. "Be my girlfriend, Aria," he said.
"Yes," Aria said easily, as she felt incredibly breathless.
"Good," Draco said, as he gently trailed kisses down her neck. "I'm really glad you said yes," he said and humour crept into his voice. As he kissed Aria's neck, he soon began to suck gently on the skin there and his teeth gently grazed it. Aria knew it was going to leave a mark but she didn't even care. A sigh escaped her lips as she continued to melt under Draco's touch. Draco began to unbutton her shirt as he continued to trail kisses down her neck and towards her collarbone. "You can tell me to stop if you want me to," he said.
"I don't want you to," Aria said quickly.
Draco smiled and was about to continue. However, before he could do such a thing, they heard voices,as two people approached the Slytherin room. Draco cursed under his breath as he swiftly pulled away from Aria and Aria frantically did up the buttons on her shirt again to look at least somewhat presentable in front of their guests.
"Hey Ari," Luna said with a sweet smile, as she and Blaise walked hand in hand into the room.
"Hi Luna," Aria replied, as she tried to make herself look as composed as possible. The kiss with Draco had left her considerably flustered and as she smoothed out the waves in her hair, she looked towards her tie to see that it had come undone slightly. "Draco and I were just..."
"Duelling," Draco lied.
Aria wasn't sure where he was going with this exactly, but she gave a nod of her head in the affirmative.
"Mhm. Yeah. We were duelling, you know, just in case any dementors show up. We'll be prepared to punch them right in the face," Aria said.
Blaise's eyebrows creased together at this statement.
"You'll be prepared...to punch the dementors in the face?" he asked.
Draco leant against the wall before he spoke, this time around.
"Well, yeah. That's what she just said, isn't it? Of course, she's not actually going to punch a dementor in the face, although I'd love to see that," Draco said, as humour filled his voice.
Luna looked between the three students with curiosity in her expression.
"We weren't disturbing you two, were we? 'Cause we can leave if you would like us to," Luna said, with a caring tone of voice. "I don't want to impose," she added.
That was one of the best things about Luna, she was an incredibly kind person and didn't want to upset or hurt anyone, even unintentionally.
Aria couldn't flat-out say that Luna and Blaise were disturbing them. After all, it would be fairly selfish of her to go back to kissing Draco when her friends might have needed her.
Be selfish for once, Honey. Draco thought to himself.
"No," Aria lied easily, which caused Luna's expression to become one of subtle relief.
Sooner than she could say anything more, Theo wandered into the Slytherin bedroom.
"I'm not imposing upon an orgy here, am I?" he asked, which caused Draco to death-glare in his direction.
"No, Theo. Shut up, mate," Blaise said.
Draco's lips twitched up slightly as he met Aria's gaze from across the room.
Aria smiled back at him before she re-directed her attention towards Theo.
"Well, that's good then. I'd hate to be somewhere I'm not wanted but then again...everyone wants me. Oh, hi Luna! It's good to see you again. Good job on helping the kitchen staff with the muffins for breakfast today. They were amazing," he said, with an expression of approval.
Luna smiled as she tucked some of her white-blonde hair behind her ear.
"You're very welcome," she said. "I could only imagine how tired the chefs must be recently, given everything that has passed. I thought it would be kind to help them out in any way that I could."
Aria felt her lips turn up at the corners, as she looked towards Luna with even more respect for her.
"I did bring back some breakfast muffins, too, if you two wanted some. I noticed that you weren't there this morning," Luna said, as she conjured two blueberry muffins into the palms of her hands.
Aria beamed at her as she took one and thanked her friend. She knew that her time with Draco had been interrupted but perhaps it wasn't all bad, after all.
"Thank you, Luna," she said.
"You're welcome," Luna said again, with kindness in her smile. "Anyway, Theo and Blaise, we better get going," she said, as she caught onto the fact that Draco and Aria probably wanted to spend some time alone.
"Oh right, sure," Theo said, as his eyes flickered with mischievousness and he waved to Aria and Draco. He then followed Blaise and Luna out of the Slytherin bedroom, leaving Aria and Draco in peace. Finally.
