"Be careful, please. We've lost Harry...we can't lose anyone else," Hagrid told them, as he walked with them to the front door of his hut.

Aria turned to him with a sympathetic smile upon her face.

Draco surprised them all by replying to Hagrid's wishes.

"We will be careful, Rubeus. Of course, we will be," he said. The flame of his determination was not going to be extinguished any time soon, even with Harry's absence. They had to keep moving forward. They had enough factors working in their favour to take Voldemort down themselves. They would end this. Draco was not about to give up until the war was over.

"Alright then, Malfoy- er- Draco. Good luck," Hagrid said, with a warm smile present on his face.

Draco gave a subtle nod of his head, as he turned to leave. He knew where they needed to go next. They needed to head right back to the castle.

It was essentially the most dangerous area for them to be at present but they couldn't just let their friends be slaughtered at the malevolent hands of Voldemort and his followers.

Aria turned to Hagrid and quickly hugged him before she joined Draco's side.

Ginny's jaw twitched slightly as her sad eyes met Hagrid's own concerned ones.

"Hagrid, please be careful," Ginny told him.

"I always am," Hagrid said with a reassuring smile, "You too, Ginny."

Ginny gave a murmur of agreement and then exited the hut after Draco and Aria.

Once they were outside in the chilly air again, they all looked at one another with serious expressions.

As she ran a hand through her fiery hair, Ginny realised that she really didn't want to talk to anyone right now. The only thing fueling her desire to move forward was the knowledge that Harry would have never wanted her to give up. He was gone but she couldn't let that stop her from doing everything that she needed to. She had to protect her friends. She had to protect Hogwarts.

Ginny was the first one to break out into a sprint back towards the main school building.

Upon their return, they quickly met Luna Lovegood.

The school seemed utterly deserted. Where had everyone got to?

"Luna?" Ginny asked, as she rushed over to her friend.

"Don't worry, Ginny. Everyone's okay...Voldemort's missing, though. A load of the Death Eaters died. Most of the students are hidden in the Slytherin dungeons and I simply don't know what's going to happen, now. Even McGonagall seems completely distraught but I suppose that it's understandable with everything that's happened..." Luna trailed off then, as a crestfallen expression appeared on her face. "It's going to be alright. It will be. We'll work something out.  We usually do," Luna said with kindness behind her voice.

Ginny hadn't been expecting it to affect her so much but she quickly stepped forward to fling her arms around Luna.

"Lovegood...you're saying that most of the Death Eaters have died, correct? We need to keep moving. We need to find Voldemort," Draco said, as he began to look in the direction of Hogwarts' main courtyard. "Let's go."

The others all turned to him with inquisitive expressions but followed him all the same.

Ginny could hardly believe that she was now working alonsgide Draco Malfoy but with Harry gone, what other options did she have?

It didn't take them long to observe the dark robes of one Lord Voldemort before them. He slowly turned around with a serious expression upon his face.

"Where has Harry Potter gone!?" he exclaimed, as some students began to step forward again to join Draco and Aria.

Draco made a note that there was no sign of Crabbe, Goyle or Pansy. He should have figured as much. They had always been cowards.

Blaise stepped forward to join Luna.

"You lost him. That's your own fault. He's dead anyway," a Death Eater said with a cynical expression upon his face.

Voldemort's expression became murderous then, as he turned to the Death Eater that had been foolish enough to talk back to him. He quickly struck him with the killing curse and that was the end of that.

Of course, it wasn't as if it was game over.

There was always going to be one person who was a step ahead of Voldemort. Always.

Aria comforted herself with those thoughts.

"Who will be next? Does anyone else dare to defy me? Or are you all going to accept the fact that it is now over?" Voldemort asked.

Aria glanced towards Draco and swallowed hard in her nervousness. Her nerves were replaced with curiosity, though, when she realised that Draco's hand had gone to a wand in his pocket. A wand that seemed oddly familiar. It wasn't Draco's wand at all. It was the Elder Wand.

She wasn't sure how he had got it or even when, but it must've happened at some point.

Her eyes flickered with astonishment but she quickly made her expression become serious again, as she listened to the murmurs of the crowd behind her.

"It's never over!" the voice of a miracle exploded out across the courtyard then and all of a sudden Harry emerged with an expression of extraordinary courage upon his face as he raced across the courtyard and avoided the sparks flying from Voldemort's wand.

"Potter!" Draco exclaimed then, as he rushed towards him and threw the Elder Wand to him. "Take it. Kill him. End this."

Harry's green eyes flickered with surprise at the fact that Draco was helping him, but now was not the time to question things. He nodded at Draco and then turned to face Voldemort once again.

The others went off to fight the Death Eaters while Harry focused on his fight with Voldemort.

While all of this happened, a thick green snake began to slither along the concrete of Hogwarts' grounds and soon enough Neville rushed over with the sword of Godric Gryffindor to pierce right through the serpent's head.

Nagini was gone.

Another Horcrux was gone and Voldemort was essentially powerless.

His dark eyes filled with terror at the realisation and his wand flew from his grip as his body began to disintegrate into particles in the air and onto the cold ground below.

Finally, it was over.
