Ever since I got to Devildom, I felt like I had a special connection with someone. That someone was Barbatos. He and I both had the ability to see the future. Except the future of our love lifes. That was up to fate. Me and Barbatos had bonded over baking and nature. In all honesty, it was scary how similar we were. As much as were similar, we also had our differences. Me, a feeble human, him, a powerful and mysterious demon. Besides that, he always seemed very relaxed. He made my heart flutter like no one else has.
I wonder if he feels the same..

A few months ago..

I sat in the palace garden, near a tree with flowers that had a shimmering glow. It was well taken care of and nicely trimmed. It didn't look so tacky. It has defiantely just blossomed. It wasn't like any other flower I had seen. For starters, it was mystical and most likely adaptive to Devildom. Perhaps.. White Lily's? No, too obvious, besides, it doesn't explain the aura. I paused, thinking back to my research. Oh! The Dragon Heart. Dragon Heart's are specific to Devildom. They needed certain living conditions to survive. As rare as they were, the demon lord had maybe 30 at his reach. I admit, I was quite envious. I started observing the intriguing flower, jotting them down in my mind. I felt a friendly stare on me. I turned around was greeted with Barbatos.

Barbatos' POV.

I went outside to the garden where Y/N had been waiting. When I arrived there, Y/N had seemed to be interested in the Dragon Heart flowers. They were quite beautiful but nothing was as beautiful as her. Ever since they had arrived in Devildom, I felt a special connection with them. They too had the power to see in the future. They were a natural at baking. Despite our many differences, they had made me feel something no one else has. I was standing at the door frame, watching Y/N observing the Dragon Heart flower. It was quite a scene, they were amazingly smart and had sharp memory as well. A pair of e/c eyes looked at me and their tinted lips smiling. "Hello Barbatos!" The human spoke. I smiled and walked towards them. "Hello, Y/N. It has been a while, no?" I said.

Your POV.

"Indeed. So, how are you Barbie?" I asked. Barbatos smiled at me, "I told you not call me Barbie Y/NN (Your nickname)!" He playfully rolled his eyes. We both laughed for a bit, his laugh made my heart giggle and my mind running with thoughts. I fidgeted around with the Dragon Heart while my attention remained on Barbatos. "Hehe! No, Barbatos, I didn't punch them in the face. You did." I giggled. We kept talking about our little 'adventures' together. Suddenly, a crimson pink butterfly had landed on my nose. I scrunched up my nose when it had attempted to like me as if I were a flower. It had licked my nose and it was kinda ticklish. "Heheh.." I quietly laughed. A finger appeared next to the butterfly. Once again, the butterfly licked me and then licked the finger. It steadily flew onto the finger. The finger cautiously led the butterfly back to the sky. I had no Idea why, but that made my crush for him gain. 'Why the hell is he hot..?' I silently thought. "Butterflies are pretty aren't they?" Barbatos spoke. I snapped out of my thoughts and blinked. "Hm? Oh, mhm!" I replied flustered. He smiled. "But nothing is as pretty as you are" The demon said while smiling as your cheeks went red. Barbatos approached me and held my hand. "Y/N, will you be mine?" He asked. I sat there in literal shock. "H..He.. Liked me back..?" I thought in your mind. I blinked, bringing myself back to reality. And thats when the tears came. Not sadness, but happiness. "Yes! Yes! A million times!" You said joyfully. His hand was still held in mine, his other hand cupped my cheek. We both pulled into a passionate kiss.

Present Time.

Journal Entry 14; 01/12/21. [Y/N] [Y/S]

It's been perhaps 2 months since Barbatos confessed. I thought it was a dream at first.. Sadly, It's  time for my departure. I have to leave. Can't I just stay? I may be a human, but I am capable of self defense. I don't wanna leave honestly. The brothers opened up my shell, I finally found someone who truly cares for me. What more can I ask for? Just one more favor? To stay in Devildom. Yes, I may never see Solomon again but.. Yeah I dunno- I like Barbatos more.

I walked to the office of Lord Diavolo. The red haired demon looked up at me, "Yes Y/N?" He asked. "Uh- May I stay in Devildom?? I'll sacrifice my soul if necessary." You said shyly but sort of confidently. "Sure. No strings attached." He said. "Just make sure you don't get eaten. You're still a human." He added. You face lit up. "Thank you so much Lord Diavolo!!" You thanked him gratefully.
