Chapter 7

FOURTH YEAR CONT

ELARA

It was now November and Me, Daphne and Pansy arranged with our Mothers to meet at a designer store in Diagon alley. I had written to Narcissa too, to ask her if she wanted to come so she was meeting us there too. Draco had said his mother had always wanted a girl to spoil it only felt right for her to help pick a dress for our first official ball together.

Mother arranged for Snape to let us use his Floo so we entered his office bright and early on a Saturday morning Snape was behind his desk with a worried look on his face as he saw me. "You two go on I'm right behind you" I told the girls as they announced Diagon Alley and vanished in green flames.

"Are you okay Severus you look worried?" I asked him. He gave me a small curt smile and shook his head "Yes Elara I'm fine go on and have fun picking your dress. I'm sure you'll look wonderful in whichever you pick I look forward to seeing it" he replied sweetly. "Love you Severus" I told him as I chucked down the powder and disappeared.

Little did I know that he had infact been informed the night before by filch that Draco had been caught in the library with a Ravenclaw girl in a rather compromising position. He shook his head and cursed the Malfoy boy.

I picked a gown with a bodiced mini dress underneath and sheer speckled shimmery material over the top that was split in the middle for dramatic effect.

"Oh you look absolutely stunning Elara" Narcissa cooed over me as my mother agreed wiping her eyes with a tissue.

"Mother it's just the Yule ball I'm not getting married" I giggled as I glanced over at Mrs Parkinson and Mrs Greengrass who fussed over their own daughters.

"Oh I can't wait for that day though can you Celeste think how divine she will look in a wedding dress we'll have to go to Italy they have the best designers over there" Narcissa clapped as my mother beamed at her I raised my eyebrows at them. They thought me and Draco were going to get married? Obviously I would love nothing more but did he?

Panay chose an elegant black floor length gown and Daphne chose a silver thin strapped satin dress we truly screamed Pureblood supremacy.

Once we'd returned to Hogwarts we walked the halls back to the Slytherin house.

"Daphne I don't know how you expect him to ask you when he has no inkling that you like him. Shall I just hint to him that he should ask you?" I said to her as she was whining Blaise hadn't asked her to ball yet. She grabbed my arm "Would you really?" She sounded shocked.

"Of course I will I'll do it as soon as we find them" I smiled back at her. Pansy was going with a fifth year girl named Danielle I was ecstatic for her.

We found the boys in the common room, Daphne and Pansy went straight back to the room so I could do my work.

I kissed Draco on the cheek as I sat next to him "How was detention? You should have seen our mothers merlin they started crying when I walked out in my dress, then started rambling on about where they were going to source my wedding dress from can you believe it?" I laughed he was smiling at me as I was talking so I kissed his lips just because I needed to, just because his smile made me giddy.
