Sunday went by extremely fast, and today we would be going back to our classes. I sat between Jack and Cedric, across from the Greengrass sisters, Theo and Blaise.
I was taking a bite out of a lemon pastry when Snape walked by and handed me my timetable.
I wiped my hands on a napkin before picking it up and looking at it.On Mondays and Wednesdays I had DADA with the Gryffindors, Potions and Charms. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I had Transfiguration, History of Magic and Astronomy. On Fridays I had Herbology and Divination.
"I have Double Potions with the sodding Hufflepuffs! Someone hex me now." Theo groaned as he slid his head down to rest it on the table. He then shot up and look at Cedric.
"No offense, Hufflepuff." he added quickly. Cedric shrugged with an unbothered look on his face. "None taken."
"I have Arithmancy with the Gryffindors." Jack chimed from beside me. Theo's gaze turned to Jack and he gave him a pity look. "You win." he mumbled.
Just then, a Hufflepuff came over and handed Cedric his schedule. He stood there for a second, looking at me like I was a dark artifact. "Can I help you? Or are you just going to stare at me?" I snapped loudly. The Hufflepuff didn't even respond, he just turned around and walked away.
"I hate Hufflepuffs." I growled with clenched fists. I felt Cedric tense up beside me. "Except Diggory. Diggory is my Hufflepuff." I assured as I looked up at Cedric. He gave me a warm smile and a curt nod.
"Alright, let's get you to DADA so I can go to my class." Cedric says before standing up from the bench. Daphne and I stand up shortly after and swing my bag over my shoulder. "See you lot later?" I asked the group as Daphne walked around the table to meet me and Cedric. Everyone answered except Jack.
He was staring down at a copy of The Daily Prophet. I cupped his face with my hand and turned his head to meet my gaze. "See you later, yeah?" I asked with a blank face. He slightly blushed before nodding with a smile. I let go of his face and turned back to Cedric and Daphne. "Right then." I said, gesturing ahead of us.

Cedric walked Daphne and I to DADA and turned to me before heading to his class. "I have a thing today with the other champions so I won't see you until lunch. What do you have before lunch?" he asked, gesturing to my timetable. "Potions." I recalled.
"Right. See you later." he sayid before turning around and walking to his own class. Daphne and I walked into the DADA classroom and sat at a table in the back while we waited for other students to pour in.

DADA class was rather... interesting. We worked on the unforgivables, which is illegal, and some students claim that Moody's a Psychopath. I walked halfway to Potions with Daphne before we had to part ways because she had Astrology.
When I walked into the Potions classroom, I took a seat at an empty table in the back and sat my bag down beside me on the table. A few moments later, I caught a glimpse of someone taking the seat next to me.
I glanced over slightly to see a flash of platinum blonde hair. That's all I needed to know who it was. I internally sighed and resisted the urge to throw a cauldron at his head before I continued to look forward at the chalkboard at the front of the class.
After everyone was seated in the classroom, Snape began to talk. "These will be your seats for the rest of the year... no questions asked. Today we will be learning about the wit-sharpening potion. Does anyone know what this potion... does?" Snape drawled. Grangers hand flew up in the air and he sent her a quick glance before locking his eyes on me.
"Ms. Morningstar. Do you know what this potion does?" he asked in a bored tone.
"It allows the drinker to think more clearly." I explained flatly. Snape nodded before speaking again. "And do you know what ingredients are needed to make this potion?" he questioned.
"Armadillo bile, ginger roots and ground scarab beetles." I listed off easily. Snape nodded again. "10 points to Slytherin." he announced before turning back to the chalk board.
Snape told us to take out our textbooks, so I tugged my bag closer to me. When I pulled out my Potions book, my therapy journal slipped out and fell on the floor with a loud slap. I sat my potions book down before reaching down to get it, but it wasn't there.
It was in Malfoy's hands. "Give it here, Malfoy." I whispered. He looked over at me with an evil grin for a second before turning his attention back to the journal and observing its cover.
He traced his finger up and down the spine of the journal slowly; contemplating. After a few minutes, he handed me the journal and looked back up to the board like nothing happened.
I suddenly got hit with a very good idea. I stared at a blank wall and concentrated, doing everything Dumbledore said to do when one of us wanted to share our thoughts with the other.
'You're awfully quiet today.'Malfoy tensed up slightly, and that's how I knew that it worked. His gaze shifted from Snape down to the table.
'Get out of my head. You're going to make me fail Potions.'
I try to stifle a laugh, but a small huff comes out of my nose.
'You fail just fine on your own, Malfoy. No need to give me the credit.'
Malfoy shot me a cold glare, clenching his fists in irritation. His eyes were angry and his face was in a scowl. I could practically see the rage radiating off of him, so I shot him a wink and a grin.
The bell then rang, and I gathered my books before hopping off of my stool and walking out of the classroom.
When I entered the corridor, I was met by an upset looking Cedric. The look on his face made me slightly nervous; he always has a smile on his face, but he looked troubled.
"Everything alright, Ced?" I questioned as we walked down a stairwell to go to the Great Hall.
"Yeah it's just," he paused, and puts an arm out in front of me, making my gaze go from him to the space in front of me. I almost stepped onto a moving staircase. After we took a detour, he continued talking.
"It's just that I had a meeting with the Champions and Rita Skeeter. That lady is quite the troublemaker." he evaluated as we walked down a busy corridor. I gave him my best impression of a sympathetic smile and pat him on the back. I'm not good at comforting people.
We finally reached the Great Hall and joined the group to eat lunch before our next class. We finished eating early, and Cedric turned to the group. "Fancy a walk outside?" he asked, glancing between all of us. We all nodded and head out to the courtyard.

Cedric had his head in my lap, reading a book. To some it may seem romantic, but to us it was simply platonic. I thought of Cedric as a big brother.
I heard the familiar voice of Malfoy and looked up to see him bickering at Potter while sitting in a tree. "My father and I have a bet, you see. I don't think you'll last ten minutes in this tournament." he shouted, then jumped out of the tree and walked up to Potter. "He disagrees. He thinks you won't last five." he teased with a chuckle.
"I don't give a damn what your father thinks, Malfoy! He's vile and cruel, and you're just pathetic!" he shouted, enraged. "Pathetic?" Malfoy repeats. He then took out his wand, but before he could say anything, he was turned into a ferret.
A laugh erupted from my throat and Cedric looked up from his book to see what I'm laughing at. Everyone else looked over and stared laughing at Malfoy as a ferret. "Is that a ferret?" he questioned, his eyes wide. "No, that's Malfoy." I said through bursts of laughter.
