A lot has happened in the past month or so. Malfoy and I completely stopped talking to each other, we only shared a few words together in Dumbledore's office. My mother sent me a gorgeous gown for the Yule Ball. I declined approximately fourteen boys' invitations to take me to the Yule Ball. I decided to do with Jack as friends. Cedric finally got the courage to ask Cho Chang to the ball, she said yes. He made me promise I wouldn't try to kill her again. Beth continued to make me green apple pastries.
Jack had become more... protective over me, even when I assured him that I was fine. He accused me of shagging Cedric every Saturday when I would 'mysteriously disappear', and I made damn sure that that rumor got extinguished instantly.
During our sessions, Draco and I would only talk when absolutely necessary. We completely ignored each other's presence; acted like the other person didn't exist.
And now, here I was, getting ready for the Yule Ball with Astoria and Daphne. I did my makeup first. I decided on a dark green smokey eye look with a black winged eyeliner.
For my dress, my mother sent me an emerald green gown with thin straps and a v neck. The bottom of the gown has a slit up the side where my leg will stick out when I walk.
For jewelry I'm wearing multiple silver, diamond and black rings along with a simple diamond chain and diamond earrings that swing down; and I decided to leave my hair down.
-After we were done getting ready, Daphne, Astoria and I all made our way down to the common room.
When we got down the stairs, the boys all matched their dates. Jack was wearing a black suit with a white undershirt and a dark green silk pocket square that matched my dress.
Jack stared at me in awe as I walked towards him with a smile on my face. He extended his arm for me when I got closer and I took it. "You look beautiful." he says, eyeing me up and down. "You're not too bad, yourself." I joked with a wink.
We turned towards the two couples who were already looking at us. "You clean up nice for someone who only wears dark colors." Theo pestered. "Theo, I will stomp on your neck in these heels." I said, pointing my finger at him. He raised his hands in a surrender and laughed.
"You look wonderful, C." Blaise said with a smile. "You as well, B." I complimented back.
Jack complimented Daphne and Astoria and we all walked down the the Great Hall.

Draco POV
Pansy insisted that I wait for her by the doors to the Great Hall so she could make a dramatic entrance. She walked down the stairs in a pale pink dress that didn't compliment her skin tone very well.
She walked over to me and we exchanged compliments while we stood outside of the doors.
Everyone in the corridor got silent, causing me to look up in confusion. I looked at the top of the staircase and my eyes fell upon Morningstar.
She was wearing a dark green gown that fit her perfectly and her eye makeup matched the gown. The dark color of her eye makeup made her bright hazel eyes stand out.
I couldn't think of the right word to call her. Attractive was too formal, but gorgeous wasn't enough. She looked like an actual goddess; like she didn't belong on this tiny earth. She looked like she belonged in the Heavens with Angels. She wasn't an Angel, but she certainly belonged with them. There wasn't a single person in the world that looked better than her; not even myself.
The way her hazel eyes sparkled like diamonds under the sunlight and squinted slightly when she smiled. The way her laugh was like a symphony of harps played by the hands of angels themselves. Not her fake laugh either, no. The laugh that erupts from her mouth when she just can't help but laugh. The way her smile could cure even the worst of days. Not her simple smile, her genuine smile; the smile that one rarely ever got to see.

Cynthia POV
When I walked downstairs, I was completely nervous. My palms were clammy and I could feel everyones eyes on me. I kept taking deep breaths, but nothing was helping me nerves.
Until my eyes fell on him.
The him that I hated with every bone in my body. The him that I feel completely and utterly vulnerable around. The him that made me so nervous I felt sick, but somehow also managed to calm my nerves as soon as I saw him.
He was looking at me already, but I didn't even notice. I was taking in his appearance. He was wearing his famous black suit. Black blazer, black undershirt, black pants with black shoes. He was wearing numerous rings, just like me. His hair didn't have any gel in it, he left it natural. Damn him and his soft, natural, platinum blonde hair.
He looked beautiful. No, not beautiful. Draco Malfoy looked more than beautiful in that moment. He was the most gorgeous person to ever exist. He looked as though Merlin himself had carved him and made him with his own two hands. He looked like a Greek god that accidentally stumbled into Hogwarts and got dressed for a ball.
