That day when I got home, Draco was sitting on my bed, waiting for me. We ended up arguing because I left before he told me to leave, but we talked it out, and did some... other things to relieve our stress and anger.

I had been sleeping soundly under my duvet when the door swung open abruptly, causing me to jolt up to see a blank looking Draco. "You have a visitor." he blurted before pressing his lips into a thin line.

I furrowed my brows as I hesitantly got out of bed and followed Draco downstairs. "Who is it?" I asked as we walked down one of the third level corridors. He didn't meet my eyes as he said "You'll see."

We arrived at my mother's study and I shot him a confused, yet irritated, glare. He jerked his head towards the door and I gulped before pushing the door opened and stepping inside, Draco right beside me. I looked around the room and saw my mother sitting at her desk, speaking to someone with light brown curly hair. Then, like a Knight Bus, it hit me. "Beth?"

She turned around quickly in her chair and my mother looked up from her and met my gaze. Beth's face flooded with relief as she strutted over towards me and pulled me into a tight embrace.

Draco closed the door behind us and we pulled away, her gaze flickering over my face, studying my features. "What's going on?" I asked, turning to my mum. "Mum?"

She sent me a nervous look before responding. "Beth here heard you were a Death Eater. After you hadn't come to school, she worried for your life, so she came here to make sure you were alive." she explained. I slowly turned my terrified gaze to Beth and swallowed thickly. She knew I was a Death Eater.

"Oh, relax. I'm not going to harm you or anything, I just had to make sure you were okay." she assured, rubbing her thumb across my cheek.

"Yes, Beth. I'm fine, but you have to go. It isn't safe here for anyone who isn't a Death Eater." I explained frantically.

"Alright. Just be safe." she said softly. I nodded and she walked over to the floo system in my mum's study before disappearing in the fireplace.

"Mum, can we talk about this after I've had a nap?" I questioned, breaking the uncomfortable silence that lingered in the room. She nodded and I turned around, exiting the room with Draco right beside me.

I went up to my room and failed to fall asleep, so I showered instead while Draco sat in silence on my bed. After I got out, I changed into a black sweatshirt and went over to my closet. I picked up a pocket knife and went back into the room before laying next to Draco and flipping the knife opened.

I twirled the blade between my fingertips as I stared up at the ceiling, contemplating about the war that would more than likely occur. I wondered what would happen, who would die, who would survive and who would win. What would happen to the Wizarding World afterwards. Where it would take place. Who would fight. Who would run.

The blade nicked my skin and I gasped quietly in shock, looking down at the tear of blood rolling down my thumb. I watched as it poured over my finger tip and rolled towards the end of my thumb.

Draco reached over and grabbed my wrist abruptly, making me look over at him in the blink of an eye. I watched as he sat up beside me and faced me, locking his eyes on mine. He slowly brought my hand to his mouth, and neither of us dared to break eye contact as he flicked his tongue out and dragged it up my thumb, collecting all the blood on his tongue before bringing his tongue back in his mouth.
