chapter VI

Laura POV **RAPE TRIGGER WARNING**

The song 'Uma Thurman' by Fall Out Boy was booming when we walked in. Immediately a shorter girl, around 5'4, ran up to Alice. She had short, natural red hair that was pinned back with a Bobby pin. She had a beautiful black dress that had strips of mesh across the chest and ribs. It hugged her curves well. On her left forearm she had a mermaid tail and on her hand there was a compass. She had a septum piercing and cheek dermals.
I didn't get to see much more of her face as she kissed Alice passionately. Alice kissed her back almost immediately. The girl looked over at me and looked really happy. "Hi I'm Ezra!" She said in a cheery tone. "I'm Laura." I said, confused. "This is my girlfriend." Alice said with joy. I could see that Alice's mood really went up around Ezra. Ezra saw Alex and immediately frowned, but didn't say anything.
"I'm going to get a drink!" I tell Alice. She nods and I go looking for alcohol. A boy around my height walks up to me. "You look confused!" He yells over the now loud music. "I'm looking for the alcohol!" I yell back. He grabs my wrist and starts pulling me over to a table that's loaded with alcohol.
I go for the fireball and get a shot. He gets himself one too and we take them. The liquid goes down my throat smoothly until it hits my stomach. I feel it burning in my stomach so I pour myself another shot and shoot it back. I then walk over to one of the coolers and open it up.
There's a bunch of beer but I fucking hate beer so I close it quickly. I go to the other cooler and open that one to see an assortment of Mikes hard lemonade. I grab one and pop the top off, taking a sip.
I look back over at the guy who got me to the alcohol. He's got a beer in his hand and he looks lonely. I walk up to him and tap on his shoulder. He turns to me and I could see the boredom in his eyes. "Thanks for bringing me over here. What's your name?" I ask, honestly curious. "I'm Kelly. What's yours?" He answers with a smile on his face. "I'm laura. Are you one of the people who threw this party?" I ask. I had thought that when Alice had said 'David and Kelly' Kelly would have been a girl. "Yeah, my boyfriend David and I live here with Ezra and Talia." I nod in understanding. "What's going on with you and Nash?" Kelly asks after a moment of silence. "I honestly don't know. Whatever it was, it's over now." I said, signaling that the conversation was over.
Kelly checks his phone and sighs. "My boyfriend is about to do something stupid so I have to go stop him. It was nice meeting you Laura." He says, his voice fading as he walks away.
I walk upstairs in search of a bathroom. I open one door and a couple was making out on a bed. I quickly closed the door and went to the next one. I opened it and I wished I hadn't.
Some blonde in a slutty dress and thigh high heels was straddling Nash. The sight had me in tears instantly. "Fuck you." I said. He looked up and I saw regret flash in his eyes before I ran out of the room. I ran into a room that had the door open. I didn't see anyone so I closed and locked the door and slid down it.
I let out a sob as the tears kept coming. I don't know why I was crying so much. I knew I liked Nash but I didn't know I liked him enough to cry over him being with someone else. I chugged the rest of my Mikes and stood up. Just as I was getting ready to leave I heard the floor creak and I turned around.
Alex was standing at the edge of the bed and he was walking towards me. "Alex, I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone right now. I just want to leave." I said in a shaky voice. "Hang on I just want to talk." He said in a creepy voice. He was right in front of me as he said this and I could smell the alcohol on his breath.
He grabbed my wrist painfully and dragged me over to the bed. I let out a cry as he shoves me down on the bed. Before I could move to get up he lays down on me, pinning me between the bed and himself. He kisses me roughly and shoves his tongue into my mouth. When he doesn't get a reaction from me he bites down on my lip painfully. I let out a cry and he started trailing more rough kisses down my neck. I try to push him off but it only pisses him off.
He grabs my hands and pins them above my head tightly. He continues until he realizes that my dress is in the way. He ditches his original plan to tease and pulls my dress up roughly. I start sobbing violently as the tears keep flowing down my cheeks. He pulls my underwear down leaving me completely exposed to him.
I squeeze my legs closed but it was no use as he pushed my legs open forcefully. He undoes his jeans rather quickly and thrusts into me roughly. I scream in agony as he pulls out and slams right back in. I tried to focus on anything else so I didn't feel as much. The tears just wouldn't stop as he continued slamming into me.
The song Monster by Meg and Dia started playing but the lyrics were almost completely drowned out by my cries. 'That Night he caged her, bruised and broke her' At those lyrics I let out another violent sob before a hand was placed over my mouth. My head and body were in intense pain.
He finished and left the room, leaving me to cry until I couldn't shed another tear. I couldn't find my phone but I didn't want to be there any longer than I had to so I asked alice to follow me up into the room. Her, Ezra, and I looked but couldn't find it.
Alice called it and someone answered. I took Alice's phone and put it up to my ear. "Hey I'm calling off of a friend's phone and I was wondering if I could have my phone back?" I asked the random person. "I'm over by the alcohol." A girl's voice said through the speaker. "I can meet you there." I said and hung up.
A few moments later I'm at the alcohol table. A girl starts walking towards me. She's 5'3 with wavy brown hair and blond streaks. She has blue eyes and she has a black top and yellow and black plaid pants on. "Are you the girl who lost her phone?" She asks. "Yeah, tonight's been crazy." I said as calmly as I could. She handed me my phone and then headed upstairs.
"Are you staying here with Ezra or are you going back to the house?" I ask Alice. "Me, you, and Ezra are going back to the house. Alex is gonna crash here for the night with one of his friends." Alice told me. "Can we head out now? This party is kinda boring." I said even though in truth, my whole fucking body hurt. Alice nodded and we all left and got in the car.
We got to the house and everyone started to remove their makeup. After I was done I put my pjs on. Alice and Ezra walked into the room with their pjs on too. They both looked at me and then down at my legs and wrists. "Did you- did someone hurt you?" Ezra asked even though her eyes said she already pieced together what had happened. "Yeah," I said not knowing what else to say. "Did- did someone rape you?" Alice asked, tears filling her eyes. "Yeah." I whispered sadly. "Who?" Alice asked in pain. "I can't tell you." I whispered. "Bullshit! Whoever hurt you is going to fucking pay so you better tell me who! If you don't I know plenty of people who will!" She yelled in pain. "Alex." I whispered almost silently.
I walked out of the room and into the hallway. A few minutes later someone walked out. "I want to talk to you." Ezra said in a calm, almost sad tone. "I knew what had happened and who did it before I even saw the bruises." "How?" I asked in shock."Because he did the same thing to me. When I was 14 he did it. The police got involved but nothing happened. I've hated him ever since and he knows it." She looked at me with tears in her eyes.
She wrapped her arms around me and instantly I hugged her back, crying into her shoulder. After a few minutes, I looked at her. "Why did you start dating Alice if you knew she lived with Alex?" I asked in confusion. "I fell in love with Alice when I met her at the cafe. When we started dating I finally realized that I could still be happy, even after what had happened. I got revenge, even if it wasn't the revenge I originally wanted. I got his sister."
After that we went into Alice's room. She was setting up the couch in there and had a blanket on her back. Once she was finished, I layed on the surprisingly comfy couch. Alice shut the light off and we all went to sleep immediately.
