Three nights ago, those three nights ago were when you asked Kenma. When people die, did he think they'd become stars? And then it never came up again, so now here you both were in the same position. The silence so loud, as you let the wind give you goosebumps.

You knew why it was never brought up again.

Kenma didn't have an answer for you. You knew that since he told you from the start, but you couldn't help but be curious about it. It would make sense, I mean he did say that the human body was made up of stardust. You pressed a hand against your shirt to feel your stomach only to feel the fabric that covered it. You looked up to be greeted with the unremarkable blue-green sky. Something changed when you looked at them, you weren't too big on stars. If anything you liked when Kenma talked about them since he put them in words you could understand.

Your grip on your shirt slightly tightens as you looked at the soft, shining stars that stretched vast and fathomless above you and Kenma.

"Kenma." Your eyes didn't look away from the scenery above you.

"What?" He asked, his eyes traveled over to you. Only to be meet with your astonished face.

"I...I think I get it now." You say, at first, you didn't get what the big deal about the stars in the sky were. You didn't think they symbolized anything, but even if they did. That didn't mean as much to you, your sure you have a perfect what to describe them.

"Get what?" Kenma watched as you turned to him. Your eyes just widen enough for him to assume that they had just sparkled. Your open mouth curving into a tiny smile, before you looked back up a bit. Before staring back at him, "I think I know why you like stars so much."

Kenma looked at you, saving you in his mind.

"Really?"

"Yeah." You chuckled a little. "You gonna tell me, what you like about them?" He asks.

You hummed a little and looked at him. "No, not yet."

He squinted at you, making your smile grow. He let out an annoyed huff, "Fine, keep your secrets." He mumbles.

"I most definitely will!" You say. Earning a groan from him, "Well now I'm curious." He stated. You laugh, before tapping his nose. "You know that they say, curiosity killed the cat!" You sang.

Kenma looked at your finger before rolling his eyes and looked down at the tiny town he called home. Well, not really. It hadn't felt like home to Kenma, as he gazed slightly at the cars, the people out and about, and he listened to the sounds everything made.

"Yeah, curiosity." He muttered, you looked at him an eyebrow raised before you poked his nose again.

"Stop it!" Kenma hissed. You snicker before moving your finger away from his nose, "Don't be such a grump!" You joke.

"Whatever." He says, he looked at you. He saw that you began to get up, slowly lifting yourself from your past sitting position.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Kenna yelled confused. He watched as you fully stood up, he looked up at you. "You're gonna fall."

"I won't."

"You will."

"Have faith in me will you." You roll your eyes as you walked along the edge. "Y/n are you crazy?! Or just plain stupid!" Kenma asked as he watched you outstretch your arms.

"Uh, yeah." You answered as you turned to look at him slowly. You met his widened bright eyes, "Look Kenma, I'm okay." You say as you slowly put down your hands that had been outstretched.

"See." You began to walk back to him. His face still twisted into an angry and somewhat scared expression. He looked away from you, "Just get down, I don't want you to get hurt."

You stopped in front of him, his hair covered his face but you could tell he was worried, the way his eyebrows furrowed. You began to sit down again, crouching down slightly, your hands laying flat against the concrete edge. You plopped down carefully before looking at him again.

"Kenma, hey. I'm okay." You state as you brushed his hair behind his ear, like he sometimes did.

"Don't scare me like that again!" He shouted, as he looked at you his face now made an angry expression towards you. Startled by the yell you leaned back a little, before laughing.

Your laugh making Kenma angrier, he sighed. "Stop laughing you almost gave me a heart attack." He said aggravation in his voice.

"You do care about me, huh?"

"I didn't say all of that."

"No way Kenma, just admit that we're like best friends and say you'd like save me from a shark."

Kenma looked at you like you were crazy. "Again I didn't say all of that, dummy." He flicked your forehead making you yelp and then winch.

"Ow?!? What was that for?!" You shout.

"For being a reckless dumbass and almost giving me a heart attack."

"You're mean." You say as you rub your forehead making Kenma laugh a little before he looked at the building that was still being made from across from the both of you.

His face turned back into his natural deadpan manner. "Promise me you won't do that again though."

You stopped rubbing your forehead to look at him. You saw the seriousness radiating off of him, "I promise." He hummed in relief at your response.

"But Kenma."

"Hmm?"

"It feels like you're going to start flying." You say as you looked at where you had walked along the edge at. Making Kenma huff as he glared at you, "I'm joking!" You laugh.

Your laugh filled the long gone silence and made Kenma hear music.
