April had soon arrived, and so quickly too. You felt your phone vibrate next to your nightstand, with a sigh thinking it was another email from your teachers. You grab it, your phone screen illuminated your features.

New Message!

It was a notification from Kenma? Your face twisted in confusion, though it was early in the morning he was gonna be late for his first day as a third year.

I just waited for Kuro...

Now you were confused, Kuroo gratulated. You remember because Kenma was put in the position of captain now, and he was a little distant to talk about it. The 'ping' from your phone brought you back into reality to look down at your phone screen.

Kozume♥︎
I forgot he graduated...now I'm late for my first day...

Kozume♥︎
We're starting off to a great start.

You could hear Kenma's sarcasm through the last text, your confused face then softened. You sigh a little, Kenma and Kuroo were childhood best friends So you could see why he wasn't too happy by not having him around anymore.

Y/n
Hey, I'm sorry Kenma :(. Don't worry today will get better!

Kozume♥︎
I dunno, I kinda wish I was homeschooled like you right now.

Y/n
As if!! Imagine having lunch over the computer>:P

Kozume♥︎
And have no social interaction?! You're kidding that would be amazing.

Y/n
To you!!! It sucks for me T^T

Kozume♥︎
Maybe we should switch places then.

Y/n:
Or! I could've gone to your school >:-/

Kozume♥︎(Sent: April 13th, 9:03 AM)
Then I would thank whatever gods that are up above.

As if there wasn't a smile already there, you felt a chuckle escape your lips.

Y/n
Are you by any chance flirting with me Kenma?

Kozume♥︎
Nope, just stating the obvious

Kozume♥︎(Sent: April 13th, 9:04 AM)
I'll meet you at the rooftop tonight though, I'm almost at my stop.

Kozume♥︎
look at that I didn't even play my video game sadly.

Y/n
What can I say I'm very distracting, but you got this Kozume! (*•̀•́*)و ̑̑ I hope you enjoy your first day!!

Kozume♥︎
You too Y/n :)...

Oh yeah, it was going to be your last year like Kenma. "Thank gosh." You mouth then closed your phone, a small sigh of relief came from your mouth. You hoped you were able to get him out of his disappointing state, you know Kuroo is Kenma's best friend and he thinks of him as family even though Kenma would never admit it. You kinda wondered what he was doing, I mean you knew that he was on a train to his high school but you wondered if he was thinking about anything that could make his head hurt or something.

You then heard another 'ping' break your concentration, your eyes gaze at your phone. And you groan, now this was an email from your teacher. With that, you drag your feet over to your desk to get your own day started.

Kenma sighed, his hair in his way as he played his game. He was still a little disappointed that he had to wait for Kuroo, and it was a slap in the face that he remembered he had just graduated. But on the bright side, he texted him for a bit, while he had texted you. Most of it being Kuroo talking about his classes, how Kenma was going to be a great captain or co-captain since Kenma talked to Kuroo about giving the position to Yamamoto or Fukunaga someone else that Kenma thought deserved it. And Kuroo teasing him about his new relationship with you, Kenma wasn't one to think highly about soulmates and things like that.

But, Kenma said to himself countless times with you it was different. Kenma couldn't remember when he started thinking of sappy crap like this, this being you...Kenma making secret promises to himself on how he'd kiss you a million times, or how he thought of a life outside of school with you. Kenma wouldn't tell you this directly however, he couldn't bring himself to do it. The train hurled to a stop making Kenma slightly jump at the sudden action, with a high he knew it was his stop. Kenma paused his game, closed it, and then grabbed his stuff.

The realization hit him as soon as he stepped out the train doors, he was going to have to do things kinda alone now. A pit of dread filled the cat-like boy's stomach, he didn't want to text you again. Knowing how you'd be in class right now, and so would Kuroo. Kenma opened his phone and looked at both you and Kuroo's good luck messages. He then shut off his phone and began the walk to his school. He hoped this day would go by quickly.
