Kenma felt the cool air hit him once he opened the rooftop entrances door, he looked around to see you weren't anywhere in sight, which made him feel a little sad even though he did tell you not to wait if he didn't show up. Kenma walked over to the edge, before sitting down. He didn't feel like trying to sit over the edge tonight, Kenma looked up at the sky. He tucked his hair behind his ear, it felt like such a long time since he'd done that.
Kenma stared at the sky, your words lingered in his head 'You just remind me of a star'. He would've asked what you meant back then if you were here, or when you told him those past days. Yet, Kenma smiled at the thought of your words. He felt that what you meant was good, and that's all that mattered to him. He wished he didn't leave you these past days, he wondered what you had been doing now if you were still up here.
Kenma hugged his knees, thoughts zipping through his mind on how he could make it up to you. Which he knew he didn't have to, but he wanted to. He felt bad for blocking you out, he knew he could always text you...or call but he could never do it. Something in his mind stopping him, telling him you probably wanted him to leave you alone. Kenma wanted to just know what you were thinking, like he was some sort of psychic or one of those mind readers. Kenma groaned, he didn't like the fact he thought a lot more now. He thought about team strategies, how he was going to pass some tests, his so-called friends, and he thought about you.
Kenma wouldn't admit it, but his thoughts were annoying flies that he wished would just go somewhere else. He didn't mean he wished everything he thought about that annoyed him or made him feel pressured would go away, he just wished he didn't have to worry about it. Kenma gazed at the sky, he didn't believe in many things. Kenma didn't have a reason to believe in things like beliefs and other things that made his head hurt. Kenma didn't see why people believed in it, but he could ask the same reason to himself on why he believed in stars so much.
They made sense to him, and they made sense since Kuroo talked about them to no end. With facts and such, and so did you. You didn't understand them at all but your head just thought up of so many ideas about them. Kenma smiled before a sigh escaped his lips, he only came here...he didn't know why he did come here in the first place. But, he felt better like a weight had been off his chest. A weight that he didn't know was there in the first place, Kenma watched as the stars gleamed above him in comfortable silence with himself. Thoughts now clam-like, he wouldn't mind if they felt like this all the time. Maybe they would one day, and he couldn't wait for that day.
Kenma felt his phone vibrate in his pocket, so much for the comforting silence. He pulled out his phone, and watched the notification that was set up for him as a reminder. The reminder was that practice was tomorrow, and Kenma groaned. Again, so much for the comforting silence. Well, on the bright side he assumed he did need to get back home it was getting late and who knows what Kuroo would spam him with in the morning if he was late for the own practice that Kenma set up for the team.
"I should seriously make Tora captain," Kenma told himself as he then got up, your reassuring words then hit him. 'You're gonna be a great captain.' which made him stop and sigh, he closed his eyes mind tracing back to you. But before he could get too lost in it he opened his eyes, "And I should really text you." Kenma nagged himself.
__________
It had been weeks and you still hadn't heard from Kenma himself. You heard from his friends that he was alive and being himself, so you didn't understand why he hadn't talked to you yet. Maybe he was too busy to call or something, you sighed as you sat up in your bed. A soft ping that was oh so familiar made you turn your head, you assumed that it was your teachers again saying that there were no meetings today, since those were the only notifications you got now.
You ignored it, until it came back up again. With a huff, you grabbed your phone from your dresser. The screen slightly blinding you as you turned it on, two notifications popped up.
2 New Messages!
Kuroo >:3 (Sent: April 26th, 10:00 PM)
Has Kenma texted you yet?Kuroo >:3
I'm just asking because he said he hasn't texted you in a bit.You raised an eyebrow, Kuroo was kinda like you and Kenma's wingman even if he was at college. He always made sure to check-in, and you always found that nice of him.
Y/n
He hasn't, but it's fine.Kuroo >:3
WHA no it's not fine! You two are practically soulmates what are you two doing apart?Y/n
You always say that Kuroo-San, but what makes you think that we are?Kuroo >:3
Easy, You and Kenma just give off that energy. Like you both were meant for each other but you two didn't know it yetKuroo >:3
You made Kenma better, made him talk more and Kenma NEVER talks >://You laugh a bit at that, you didn't believe it. But, it was a nice thought. You knew you and Kenma had something, but you wouldn't say it was a soulmate bond.

That's nice Tetsu, but I don't know.Kuroo >:3
It's just I'm worried about him now, he doesn't talk much anymore and I'm sure he gave up his position as captain now..."What?" you asked thinking that the male was next to you. There was no way he gave up his spot, you bit your cheek slightly it didn't make much sense to you.
Y/n
I'll talk to himKuroo >:3
And you say you both aren't soulmates. You shook your head at the text. You then texted Kenma, as much as you didn't want to and as much as your brain kept telling you it was a bad idea you ignored it. Your eyes looked at the date that you last texted him, it made you sigh.

Kenma, can you meet me at the rooftop?Kenna's eyes flickered down to his phone, his eyes slightly widen when he realized you were the one who texted him.
