BOOM!

Thunder was heard throughout the whole kingdom. The ground was shaking and people were screaming, they were scattered like mice, some running inside the buildings while the others did the exact opposite. Soldiers were dropping to the ground one by one and were left there to perish in their own pools of blood, while the monsters roamed free and did as they pleased.

Up ahead, the kingdoms people that weren't hiding or fighting were banging on the castle gates, screaming and demanding to be let in and for the king to go and fight for his people, but the king was no brave man. He and his wife were running through the secret underground tunnels hoping to get away in time of disaster.

Once they made it to the other side they opened the gate and all of a sudden their world was seen upside down. They heard two big thuds come from behind them and tried to look back only to realise that for some reason they're surprisingly close to the ground and they can't seem to turn their heads, no matter how much they tried. It took them a second to realise that they're laying on a pool of hot blood and that their worlds are seemingly turning darker and darker. It took them another hot second to finally realise that someone is seemingly laughing like a madman right next to them and they seem to be saying something, but for the life of them the king and queen could not understand a word, it was like their heads are stuffed in the softest of pillows that are blocking all of the sounds, that were so desperate to get to them and in that moment they were picked up, or should we say they're HEADS were picked up and now they could see. Now they can see they're headless bodies lying at the door frame, lifelessly and unmoving, they're clothes soaked in blood and mud. It was like looking at art, all kinds of colours merging together, hungry for one another to meet. They wanted to look at it for longer, stay mesmerized for a bit longer, to appreciate the deadly and sickening, yet stunning sight in front of them. But the world was getting darker by every passing second and it was getting harder to willingly stay awake. It took only a few more seconds to close their eyes and take their final breath.

And as people say 'Death will bring you the nicest of embraces, that's why it's called death. Once it has you in it's grasps, you will NEVER want it to let go again'.

"And that's the story of how one of the greatest kingdoms was defeated. And the legends say that after it's defeat the kingdom shook so hard that it created massive cracks in the floor that swallowed every monster that had hurt it's people! And then it vanished out of thin air!"
"What!!? There's no way! Building can't just disappear and reappear out of thin air, Granny!"

Shouted one of the older kids, while all the others and much younger kids were on the verge of tears.
The much more elderly lady scoffed and stood up from her makeshift, wooden chair.

"I already told you gremlins that if you wanted a story from me, that I won't give two damn horse hairs about your complaints. Now leave this poor elderly woman alone and go to god damn sleep already!"
"Not true we saw you beat up like 4 super duper strong and scary looking guys, not long ago!"
"Yeah! And you can't always use the same excuses you old hag!"
"Wait guys maybe we shouldn't be mean. I mean Mrs. Lowredstone is our caretaker and if we make her mad she can--"
"Wha!!!!!"

While the older kids are scrambling to calm down the younger ones that have started crying, Mrs. Lowerstone (real creative, I know) went out the room and to the back rooms where most of the toys and teaching supplies for the kids are, knowing full well that there is a big mess just waiting for her to clean it up.

As she entered she spotted a kid sitting on the window den. It's one of the newer kids she noticed since she doesn't remember they're name she couldn't call out to them. But the kid looked strangely at peace, all alone in silence with only raindrops and thunder as company. She admits to herself that she doesn't know how to approach the kid, since this is the first time she has had to deal with this type of child. Quiet, obedient, always alone, and they always look like they have something on they're mind.

So after she was done cleaning she checked the time and saw that it was way past kids bedtime, so she took a deep breath and walked to the kid that was still sitting at the window and looking outside. She stood next to him and thought about shaking his shoulder but immediately dismissed the idea when she remembered that throughout this whole week they didn't seem too keen on being touched, so she simply chose to talk to him. But that didn't mean that she knew what to say tho.

"Hey kid, it's past bedtime. What are you doing, still up and kicking...or I guess I should say sitting."

The kid only looked at her dead in the eyes and while she is known to be fearless, the emotionless look the kid gave her will hunt her for the rest of her life, which she is grateful to remember that she doesn't have many years left anyway.

"What's your name."

At this point it wasn't even a question, it was more of a demand honestly.

"Dave."

Lazy writing...no? Anyone else?

Also I'm sorry for using his real name. I will only use it when it's not a ship and it's just a non-ship oneshot, so don't attack me.
