A Jegulus/Jegulily AU Fan-fiction.

If you did not read the description all the way, read this.

This will definitely probably most likely not be inline with canon.

This mean while I will be keeping some facts and attempting to follow the Harry Potter Universe timeline, it will not always stick that way. 

Notable changes:

- Characters and their traits ( i.e James Potter is a person of color; multiple characters will be LGBTQ+ and be on different spectrums of disability; if you don't like that I'm adding these characteristics then fuck off )

- Slytherin!Lily Evans

- The Black cousins ( Sirius, Andromeda, Narcissa, Bellatrix and Regulus) originally do all like each other.

-While James is obviously a main part of the story, Wolfstar and the Marauders will be in the background (***edited: just kidding they're everywhere I can't not have them I love them too much).

-Bro let me mention it one more time, I'm not British and I'm not going to put in an exacerbating amount of effort into writing the characters to be British, so yeah. I will do my best to throw in slang that I know though.

This is a story, but most chapters will be written as letters or a mix of letters and typical story format as depicted below.

"Regrettably yours, R.A.B.," Regulus scribbled on the bottom of the parchment and tossed it into the wind knowing that it would some how find its way to the crazy haired, big headed, everything-he-wasn't-supposed-to-like boy in the Gryffindor tower.

He didn't receive another letter till four days letter, which was disheartening in it's own sense, but like the magic that is James Potter the note never failed to ease his pain. At the very end of the letter James addressed Regulus' previous sign off. "Regrettably?" was underlined twice followed by "How about 'forever yours' or  'love you more than life'."

Regulus spent two days laughing at this and on the third day responded to the letter with all intentions to annoy the other boy.

"James,

Foolish to assume I even want to be yours forever. Please read bottom of the parchment for my new sign off.

Painfully Yours,

                         R.A.B."

James' next letter came via owl less then twenty four hours later.

"Reggie,

You do want me forever just as I do you.

Painfully? That's what you thought would be better then regrettably?

Love your very annoyed boyfriend,

                            James Fleamont Potter."

Regulus made sure to slip his response into James bag as they unnoticeably passed each other in the great hall the next morning.

"Jamie,

Stay annoyed. You're not my boyfriend.

Tragically Yours,

                               R.A.B."

Regulus hadn't heard from James in a week and a half. On day eleven of not receiving a letter, Regulus was finally handed one by James Potter under his invisibility cloak. The curly haired boy pushed his glasses up his nose and handed the letter to Regulus and then pulled the cloak back over his head and disappeared before the Slytherin boy could question him.

"Regulus Arcturus Black,

TRAGICALLY?!?!?!? TRAGICALLY YOURS??!?!?

Feelings perpetually hurt,

                                                     James."

After much persistence, Regulus was finally able to convince Lily to hand deliver his next letter to James, two weeks after James had visited him.

"James Potter,

I'm sorry. Everything hurts, but nonetheless, love you more than life.

Sinfully Yours,

                             R.A.B."

It was a painful month before Regulus heard from James again.

"Reg,

I hate this. Love you forever. Miss you.

(settling for) Sinfully Yours,

                                             James Potter."

so there it is. Obviously this is just an excerpt and your missing context and when you get to this point in the actually story a lot more will be added to it. It's just a little blip. Anyways continue on to chapter one.
