It was Sunday evening, and Mackenzie was laying down on her bed with earbuds plugged in, whilst reading a book.
She hadn't noticed when Johnny snuck inside her room, not did she notice when he sat at the foot of her bed.
"Hey princess." He whispered, while pulling out one of her earbuds.
Mackenzie being completely absent minded, was startled by him that she shrieked and tumbled off the bed.
",Kenz are you okay?" Johnny gasped, helping her back onto the bed.
"Yeah." She chuckled rubbing her head. "You just startled me."
"Well, Hayden's throwing a party at his lake house." Johnny smirked.
"We can't be partying the night before graduation." Mackenzie scolded, we won't have enough time to clean up."
"Calm down. Hayden's parents are rich, so there's maids that clean the place.' Johnny explained.
"Okay, what time are we going?" Mackenzie asked.
"Actually I'm here to pick you up." Johnny answered.
"Just give me a minute to get dressed." Mackenzie giggled, going over to her closet.
Mackenzie pulled out a black flared strapless dress, that stopped mid thigh.
She proceeded to pull off her top, leaving her in just her sweatpants.
Johnny began to feel uneasy, as Mackenzie hooked her thumbs around the waistband of her sweatpants.
"Like what you see Orlando?" She smirked, as the last of her clothes dropped to the floor.
She threw on the dress and zipped it up, before going over to her dressing table. She applied some powder and a bit a grey eye-shadow, before topping it up with some mascara and eyeliner. To finish off her look completely, she dotted her lips lightly, with clear lip-gloss.
"Are you done tormenting me?" Johnny groaned, as Mackenzie slipped on a pair of black flat shoes.
"Yes." She answered, smiling sheepishly.
She walked up to him slowly, sitting on his lap. He licked his lips, as he stared at her longingly. carefully, he leaned in and captured his lips against hers. Her lips were sweet from her lip-gloss, but johnny didn't care, knowing this was probably the last time he'd kiss her again.
"I think we should get going." Mackenzie suggested, as she pulled away from the kiss.
Mackenzie took his hand and led him down the stairs. She peered around the corner, to see if her mom was in the living room.
She was."Mom, Johnny and I are going out." Mackenzie stated.
"Where to?" Melissa asked.
"Hayden's house. He's throwing a party." Mackenzie explained.
"Okay." Melissa smiled and nodded. "Just don't stay out too late."
"Thank you!" Mackenzie squealed, hugging her mother tightly.
Johnny ushered Mackenzie outside to his car. he opened the door and helped her inside, before going over to the drivers side.
The drive was quiet, but it was a comfortable sort of silence. Mackenzie was humming softly, whilst the air conditioner fanned her face.
"Mackenzie?" Johnny called softly, glancing at her briefly.
"hm?" She hummed, turning her head so she was facing him.
"you know I love you right?" He said, letting out a sharp breath.
"yes. Is everything okay?" Mackenzie asked, starting to get worried.
