Felicity's POV
The wind was whooshing past my face. The water soaking my already wet skin. The sky roared angrily as the lightning seemed to get closer to the water with every strike. "Felicity?" A voice croaked in front of me. "Robert?" I cried as I looked at the person speaking to me. "Thank god you're ok Robert!" I leaned forwards and clutched onto him. "City it's ok!" He rubbed my back as I sobbed into his chest.
"What happened?" I asked him and he sighed. "The storm caused the Gambit to go down City! I was lucky enough to catch this life raft!" He said and an episode of chills ran through me. "W-What now?" I shuddered. "We will just have to wait! Hopefully we make it to land! I have a bag with supplies from the raft attachment. I took it off because it was weighing the raft down but nothing fell from the bag! We're good for at least a week!" Robert said and I nodded sniffing.
"I can't believe this happened!" I whispered and felt more tears trickle down my cheeks. "I had nightmares that this would happen, how could this happen?" I mumbled as a wave pushed us closer to wherever the tide was taking us. I looked down and I froze. "Oliver!" I whispered as I saw the ring glistening from the moonlight and lightening shining across the sky. "Felicity! We have to stay strong! We'll find our way home!" Robert said as he hugged me closely to him.
"After everything we've been through together!" I whispered as I played with the ring on my left hand. "Come on City!" He said and I shook my head. "Robert we were going to get married! I mean we've been together 5 years, we were ready!" I said and he rubbed my arm. "Listen, when we get back home, you're going to marry Oliver, you'll be happy, and you'll both have the life you deserve! I know it!" He whispered to me gently and I nodded; sinking further into his embrace.
****3 Days Later****
I felt us being thrown to one side of the raft. "Felicity! Wake up!" Robert said and my eyes shot open. "An island!" I whispered as we carefully got out of the raft. I grabbed the bag of our left over supplies and headed up the beach with Robert. "Felicity, your head is bleeding!" Robert said and i raised my hand to my head. My fingers grazed my eyebrow where i felt the dried flaky substance. Memories flashed in my head from when i was younger. The feeling of the water suffocating me again caused me to stop in my tracks. My head becoming dizzy as i felt the salt water on my lips. "Felicity!" A voice shook me but i couldn't respond. I felt my chest start to hurt, just like it did 20 years ago. Everything was swirling around me until i heard my favourite name. "Hummingbird. Its ok, your're safe!" A hand made its way to my cheek and suddenly i was no longer in the water drowning, i was sitting on the sand with my father in law looking at me with concern. "You ok now? you back?" He whispered and a sigh escaped my lips. "I'm back!" I whispered and he helped me to my feet. "Come on Hummingbird, lets get off this beach!" He said and took my hand in his. I nodded and followed him up towards the jungle.
