"Mama, can I ask you something."

Automatic na lumingon ang mukha ko kay Siegee na nakatingin din sa akin.

"Yeah. Sure." I calmly said kahit kinakabahan ako.

"It's about Daddy."

I sighed in relief.

"Uhuh."

Binaba niya ang hawak na tablet at lumapit sakin.

"Is he going to visit us?"

"Yeah. I just don't know when. Don't worry, we will give him a call tomorrow and ask if when is he coming to visit us. Okay?"

She nodded. But she just stared at me.

I creased my forehead at her.

"Do you still have something to say? Are you hiding something from Mama?"

She looked down. Clasped her hands and look back at me.

"Mama, did you break up with Daddy?"

My eyes flew open to hers.

"What do you mean?"

"Kasi it's over a month already since daddy left and he didn't come home."

"But he calls you almost everyday." I pacify her.

She smiled.

"Dad told me something about you and him. And I don't understand what he meant."

"Really? What did Daddy say?"

"He said, you and him are just fixing each others heart and not meant to stay together. What did he mean Mama?"

Napailing ako. Siegee is very careful with words and she always pays attention to what the people around her are saying. That's why she acts and asks questions to the words she could not understand.

I turned to her.

"May sasabihin si Mama. Makinig kang mabuti ha."

She nodded.

"Daddy and I are not breaking up and we are not staying together as well. But we are friend, we don't hate each other. In fact, we love each other and we want to be always there for you. Do you want Daddy to be happier than ever?"

Her eyes sparkled.

"Of course." She replied with so much love.

"Did you remember that Daddy used to say that you're his happy pill because everytime he looks at you, all his problems will go away?"

She smiled and nodded.

"Right now, Daddy is also looking for his happiness."

I opened my phone and show her a picture of Danielle.

"Isn't she beautiful?"

She smiled. "She's pretty."

I smiled at her.

"She is the one Daddy's looking for and taking care of. She's the one that could make Daddy a lot happier. Her name is Danielle."

She looked at me.

"Hindi po kayo galit kay Daddy?"

I smiled at her and hugged her.

"Alam mo ba na si Daddy mo ang bumuo ulit kay Mama at tumulong para mapalaki at maalagaan kita ng mabuti ng baby kapa. Your dad will always be my saviour, Siegee. And I will always thank him for that but were not meant to stay together. We are just meant to be your Mama and Daddy."
