"Mama..."Lumingon ako sa batang nakangiting naglalakad papunta sakin. My sunshine.
Ngumiti ako sa kanya. Oh good Lord! She's really my happy pill. "Hi, baby. Have you eaten?"
She nod willingly. "Kasabay ko po sina Tita Nath at Tito Seve."
"Mabuti naman. Sinong kasama mo umakyat?"
"Si Tito, Mama. He went to see Daddy."
"How about your Tita Nath?"
She closed her eyes and shrugged. "I forgot eh. But she said, pasyal kami bukas. Can I, Mama?"
I nod at her happily. "Of course."
"Uhmm. Ma...."
"Hmn?"
"Is it true? We're going to Philippines?"
Biglang napaangat ang tingin ko sa kanya. I closed my laptop and look at her.
I frowned. "How did you know?"
"Uhm. I overheard Tito and Daddy last night. Is it true?"
Hay naku. Magsisinungaling paba ako? Pasasaan ba't uuwi parin kami.
"Yes baby."
She smiled."Talaga Mama?"
Smiling, I nodded.
"So, I get to meet Lolo and Lola? "
Again, I smiled at her nodded.
"And Tito Rave? Tita Raven? Tito Nathan?" Mas lalo akong napangiti.
Hindi talaga mapalis ang ngiti sa mga labi ko basta kausap ko ang anak ko.
I nodded again. "Uhuh."
"Really Ma?"
"Oo naman. And there's a lot of them pa."
Kuminang yung mata niya. "Talaga?"
"Yeah....but...you wouldn't directly meet them when we land there. I need to make some arrangements pa baby. Kasi diba, hindi naman nila alam na may isa pa silang pretty na pamangkin at apo."
She smiled. "Of course, Ma."
"Aren't you upset with Mama?"
"Hindi po."
"But I didn't introduce you to your Lola and Lolo. I should have diba?"
She smiled at me. "It's okay, Ma. I got to meet Tita Nath naman.....I feel like she compensated all the bondings.....I supposed to have with Lola and Lolo..... Plus, she's so madaldal, mama.... Ang loud niya po everytime magkwento siya tungkol kila Tito Rave....And I'm just waiting
.... Alam ko pong darating din ang time na iuuwi mo ako kay Lola at Lolo." She said cutting sentences. Matalino si Siegee. At the age of three she already knew how to speak straight nang hindi bulol.I got teary eyed with what she said. Gosh, she's growing up too fast. She's still going five pero ang profound niya mag-isip. Tama si Steven, Siegee sometimes acted more mature than me.
I stood up from my swivel chair and hug her tight. "Don't grow up too fast, Siegee, huh?" She laughed and nodded.
"But Ma, does that mean makikita ko rin ang totoong Daddy ko?"
I paused and stop my tracks. Yes, she knew. As I said, matalinong bata si Siegee at sinabi rin namin sa kanya.
"Y-yes baby." I wanted to say, maybe. Pero para saan pa? Alam rin naman niya. And for sure, darating ang araw na malalaman rin ni Trace ang lahat. And right now, I can't afford anymore questions from Siegee about her father. It's so stressing.
