The next morning I awoke earlier then the rest of the girls I was sharing my dorm room with. Pansy and Millicent were my roommates with three other girls so it was a little awkward when I entered the night before but we managed. I knew I had to talk to them soon but today was not that day.
I grab the guide that McGonagall had given me last night before heading down to the common room to begin planning what I wanted to do on my first day. The first and last year were pretty easy but the middle years were difficult because I didn't know how much each class learned since I assume each year was different. I came up with a rough plan for each class before heading off to breakfast where I hope I will get my schedule.
Blaise joins me for breakfast and we enjoy the time we had together because I knew with me teaching, we wouldn't get to have that many moments like this. Once we finished breakfast, the Heads of the Houses began to hand out the schedule. Snape came straight to me because of my unique position.
"Atlantia," He says with a nod of his head, "Here is your personal schedule. The potion classes are labeled with which year and there is one year that have the class everyday. Year 6 is the only one that has it everyday." I take the parchment paper with a thanks as Snape turns to Blaise to give him his schedule. I took the time to examine my schedule.

TransformationI saw that some days had some extra classes because of my workload. I was happy that all of Year 7 would be together since although the other years grew with more people, our year shrunk so it would be awkward to teach small classes. Speaking of teaching, I realize I had to get going if I wanted to prep for class. I quickly glance at Blaise's schedule to see if we had some classes together which we did. It seemed we had Charms and Astronomy together but for him and I assume the other year 7 students had two hour classes in their courses while I had only an hour because I was teaching.
I arrived at the dungeons where the potions room was just in time for class to start. My Gryffindor and Slytherin Year 2 students were chatting outsider the door but stopped as they saw me approach.
"Come in and find a seat please." I say beckoning them to start filing in. They do so quickly as I make my way to the front of the class. I pull out the piece of parchment paper that I had wrote down what I planned on doing before turning to the class.
"Many of you know who I am." I begin, "But for anyone who doesn't, my name is Atlantia Brooks and I am a fellow student at Hogwarts. I would prefer to be called Atlantia without the professor so please refrain from using it. I will do my best to teach you potions this year but you will have to work with me." I look at each individual student as I say this "I will not be as tough as Professor Snape was in previous years but that does not mean you should slack off. Think of it as an opportunity to do better than last year." I notice a hand in the air so I nod my head at him signaling for him to talk.
"So, what was it like being dead?" He blurts out, "I mean last year when you battled Voldemort. What was it like before your parents made you alive again?" The other students took this question as a signal to start asking similar questions. They shouted at them at me and all I could do was stare at them as memories flooded over my eyes eliminating the students from my vision. My breathing quickened and my heart rate sped up. Eventually I find the strength to just release my powers at the students.
"ENOUGH!" I shout. My powers eliminate the candle light that were lighting the dungeon casting a dark gloom over the students. I take a breath as I use my powers to put flames back in the candles. The students look at me a little frightened but mostly confused.
"I would appreciate it," I say quietly, "If you don't bring up the Battle of Hogwarts and my death. Now I am assuming that you have not learned about the Strengthening Solution?" Agreeing nods come from my students, "Ok, then today we will be studying the uses of the solution and next class we will try to create the potion. Please take out a piece of parchment paper and ink because you will want notes on this. Also turn to page 238 in your textbook." The rest of the class goes smoothly with the students staying away from that topic and once the bell rings signaling the end of class, I dismissed them giving them the assignment of writing a 12in essay on the uses of the Strengthening Solution which wasn't that bad.
When the last student left, I hurried off to Herbiology which was already underway due to it being a two hour class for those who weren't teaching.
"Good Morning Atlantia," Professor Sprout called out to me sweetly, "We are just studying the Venomous Tentacula so you can join Blaise in studying his." I nod my head before hurrying to him.
"Hey you," He says grinning at me, "so how was your first class as a professor?"
"Interesting," I say not wanting to talk about my breakdown, "We got off to a rough start but they were able to learn about the Strengthening Solution." Blaise nods at me and we continue to chat as we dealt with this dangerous plant since it had the tendency to grab you from behind.
The rest of the day went fairly well since the other years must have gotten wind of my avoidance of the Battle of Hogwarts because it was never brought up again. However, after the Astronomy class I was sitting with Blaise in the common room working on the assignments from today's class since I knew soon I would run out of time to do it when I heard a creepy voice speak to me.
Atlantia
I looked around the room trying to see who spoke to me. Blaise looked at me weirdly so I asked him if he heard someone calling my name. He shakes his head no so I brush it off.
"Atlantia," The voice croaks again, "You thought you could kill me that easily but now you will find out what happens to those who are my enemy."
I jump out of my seat and look around the room frantically. Blaise stands up quickly to seeing my distress.
"Atlantia, what's wrong?" He asks gently. I whip my head toward him before responding.
"Did you not hear the voice?" I asked breathless.
Blaise shakes his head, "Atlantia, I am not hearing a voice. What is this voice saying?"
I look at him debating if it's worth it to maybe explain that I am hearing an old enemy's voice but I can't pinpoint who and he is coming for revenge. "Nothing important." is what I settled on, "Maybe I am just tired. We should probably head to bed. It is late."
Blaise looks at me skeptical but allows me to move past him to the staircase leading to the girl's dormitory. I give him a kiss as I walk by and call good night to him as he watches me leave.
