Chapter 24: Atlantia

Nothing really eventful happened immediately after Christmas. We had gotten back into our normal routine of opening the shop and working on the potions while also having our dinners with the Weasleys and anyone else who shows up on Sundays. Blaise also made sure to do a date night with just the two of us on Saturdays which I appreciated but I also made sure to do things for him as well. I got him gifts and took him on day-vacations to parts of the world that he wanted to see. Sometimes it was an amusement park, other times it was a city where he wanted to just explore with me by his side. Both were equally enjoyable in their own ways and I felt it made our connection grow even more.

Occasionally, we would have some weird moments on our trips where we would have to fight a rogue monster or two that escaped after the battle with Tartarus but they were never that bad since it was just a few monsters. Except for this one time when we happened to be in Disney's California Adventure. It was the middle of March and we had just used our yearly pass to enter. We were walking around the park trying to decide where we wanted to go when a group of men stepped in front of us blocking our path to go toward Cars Land. We stop abruptly and Blaise's hand instinctively goes to his pocket for his wand. My hand was ready to summon a weapon if necessary but I prayed to the Fates that this was just some random dudes looking for some troubles though I knew the chance of that was low.

"Atlantia Brooks, it's been a while." The lead man said but it was in a monotonous voice that showed no emotion at all. His voice sent shivers down my spine as I realized what he was.

"You're an eidolon." I say carefully as I summon a staff into my hand. The man smiles as a crowd begins to gather since no one could get by to get to any rides.

"You are correct." Another man says, "We are the last eidolons since you have destroyed Tartarus."

"Good," Blaise says smiling, "Then once we destroy you, we won't have any more of you to deal with."

"We're not that easy to get rid of." The original man said with a grin before the man collapsed to the ground and I hear behind me, "There are so many bodies to choose from. You're going to have to find us before you kill us." I sigh annoyed with the leader so without turning toward the eidolon, I raise my hand and pull the eidolon out of the body before burning the soul and you could see behind me smoke flying into the sky from the burning soul.

"Who's next?" I smirk but my smirk drops when Blaise steps away from me and a body in front of me drops. "Blaise?" I question looking at him concerned.

"He's your lover isn't he." Blaise said but in a voice I knew not to be his. My heart clenched when I realized what happened.

"Get out of him, you bdelyròs." I curse the monster in Ancient Greek as my staff becomes a doubled edged spear.

"I don't think so. I kinda like this body. His kind has been blessed by Hecate, hasn't he?" Eidolon Blaise smirked, "Then I kinda would like to stay in this body if you don't mind."

"I do mind," I growl as I put up my hand to pull the eidolon from Blaise's body but quicker than I thought Blaise could move, the Eidolon had him take out his wand and send the killing curse at me. Knowing there were so many innocents behind me, I couldn't just duck the curse so I had to destroy it. I grabbed the curse with my powers before sending it upward away from the people so it couldn't kill anyone.

"Get out of my boyfriend's body!" I shout at the eidolon as I do a pulling motion but this eidolon must be stronger because instead of pulling the eidolon I wanted out of the body, I pulled all the eidolons from the group of men behind me. I sighed but destroyed those anyway since I was going to need to destroy them anyway.

"You're not going to destroy me that easily." Eidolon Blaise said, "I am the oldest and most powerful eidolon."

"Yeah, I've destroyed Gaea and Tartarus. I think I can handle you." I spat at him before forming a power ball but it was different than the ones I had originally made in the past. This one, hopefully, was going to knock the eidolon out of Blaise's body but leave Blaise unharmed. The eidolon just grinned at me.

"You really are going to use a power ball and hurt your boyfriend?" He said laughing which was scary because it had no emotion. "I doubt you would do that. Your loyalty wouldn't allow you to hurt those you love."

"Perhaps, but this won't hurt him." I say before launching the power ball at him. Eidolon Blaise was so shocked that he couldn't do any evasive movements. The power ball hit him straight on and the force of the impact pushed Blaise to the ground but the eidolon was pushed straight backwards out of my boyfriend. The eidolon himself was very stunned from the power of the power ball hitting him so he didn't get a chance to move into another body since immidietly I grabbed onto him with my Hades power. My eyes darkened as that power overwhelmed me to destroy the eidolon who after a few seconds went up in flames and the smoke went up toward the sky. After the eidolon disappeared, I realized I had made the temperature drop ten degrees with the dark power so I quickly released the power and the temperature rose back to its normal 72 degrees before I rushed to Blaise's side.

"Blaise!" I say kneeling over him and grabbing his shoulders, "Blaise! Talk to me!" It was then I heard a groan coming from him.

"You were trying not to hurt me but I think you bruised my chest." Blaise said opening his eyes and looking at me with a cheeky smile. The tension falls from my shoulders as I wrap my arms around Blaise.

"Thanks the gods. I'm so sorry Blaise." I say the tears coming down my cheek.

"Hey," He said into my ears, "It's not your fault the eidolon possessed me. He wanted to hurt you by using someone you loved and at least I know for sure that you loved me." He gave me a goofy grin that made me hit his shoulder lightly.

"Yeah, but I should have prepared for it or at least for a possession." I say before pulling the collar of my shirt down slightly to show him the tattoo on my chest that I knew he noticed when we were in bed and had known came from my demigod life. "This was a tattoo that I had drawn on me to prevent possession of any monsters but I thought you wouldn't need one since the monsters were all killed last year. I should have realized that you needed one..."

"Hey, you couldn't have known a big group of eidolons had survived after Tartarus died." Blaise comforted, "But you were able to kill all of them and nobody was hurt, well I guess I have a bruise but that will heal. So, now let's go have some fun because we are in the happies place on Earth so those tears should not be here." I laugh before nodding and pulling Blaise to standing. It was then we noticed the crowd of people who had come here to have fun but had to witness this battle instead. All of them had their phones out and I knew they had filmed this battle which just made me sad but it also made me realize I needed to make sure those who were possessed were ok before Blaise and I left to go have fun. Like I figured, those who were possessed were fine and after some encouragement with my siren voice, everyone went to go enjoy their vacation like we were going to.

"Do you still want to go to Cars Land or try another section of the park." Blaise asks as the crowd dispersed and we looked down the path to see Cars Land.

"I don't really want to go to Cars Land anymore," I say feeling very weird to continue on our plan after this battle. "You want to just head to the pier?" He nods before offering him his arm which I take and we together we walk toward the pier to enjoy the rest of our day before we have to head back to London later that night.
