Dream was gone. Gone down the river, disappearing into the night. It left everyone is a rather peculiar state of dismay. Everyone was confused, everyone was hurting, but everyone was alright. George was the first to make a move, he approached Sapnap with caution, expecting the worse. He expected him to be dead.

But what he saw eased his fears. Sapnap was laying next to the warm fire at a comfortable distance. He was stripped of all his armor, left in nothing but his under shirt and trousers. Sapnap had been wounded, but it was cleaned and patched up nicely. George folded his knees under him and sat behind Sapnap. He was asleep and running a nasty fever, they couldn't move him, not now anyway.

"Guess we're spending the night..." George said as he felt Sapnap's warm forehead.

"What happened?" Bad asked, walking around the area, surveying the land.

"Judging by his fever and lack of consciousness, he got hit with a poisoned blade and Dream patched him up." He explained.

"That's mighty nice of him..." Ant commented, mostly to himself. He was looking down at the small glass bottle in his hands. Bad noticed him looking at the bottle, he smiled nervously.

"It's a potion of healing." Bad said.

"What?" Asked George.

"Why'd he give it to me?" Ant finally joined the other men at the fire pit.

"Maybe he's trying to apologize for hitting you the other day." Bad chuckled as he settled in next to the fire. Bad rid himself of his layers, enjoying the natural warm of the flames. Ant examined the bottle before shrugging. His wound didn't hurt him enough take it. Ant joined Bad by the fire.

George watched Sapnap for a moment longer, counting the seconds as Sapnap breathed. It was shallow and stifled, but it was smooth and consistent. George ran his fingers over the crimson stained bandages. They were military grade, heavy duty clothes. Dream had patched the wound like a soldier. It was tie and secure, it clung to Sapnap like a set of second skin. George hummed at he examined it. Clever was Dream.

Carefully, George dabbed his finger over the blood and looked at it again his pale fingers. The blood had a green hue. Curiosity overcame George and he brought his fingers to his nose and inhaled the scent of Sapnap's blood. It carried with it an tangy scent instead of the normal metallic smell of common blood.

"What are you doing, you weirdo?" Ant asked as he watched George.

George looked at his two other companions and blinked slowly. "Sapnap was poisoned by Snake's heart..." He mumbled.

"Snake's heart? But that's a death sentence..." Bad gasped in shock.

"Usually but..." George sat back and looked around him. Near Sapnap's unconscious body, was a large empty glass bottle. Seeing this, George grabbed it and smelled it. "Healing pot..." He muttered under his breath. "Dream went out of his way to save Sapnap. Used something as valuable as a vigorous healing potion..." George looked directly as Bad when he came to this conclusion. "Now, why would he do that?" He narrowed his brown gaze.

Bad shifted, folding his legs underneath him. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Bad inhaled deeply.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Ant went on the defense.

Bad gulped. "I..." He sighed, giving up. "Look I know you don't trust me, and you have valid reasons too. But please. When I tell you it's better for you not to know, believe me. I promise that when this is all over, I'll tell you, but for now I just... I can't..."

George and Ant shared a cautious look. Ant's frosty blue gaze shined with hope, he was willing to trust Bad. George's gaze however held an uncertain emotion. He wanted to trust these people. The few short days he had known them, they had faced dangerous only a seasoned adventure would encounter in a life time. But something about each one of them, George couldn't trust. Bad was hiding a secret, Dream risked his life to save Sapnap and Ant was a little confused.
