The birds chirped as the dawn of a new morning came. With the Imperishable Night incident resolved, the cycle of the moon and sun has returned to normal. And with a new morning came a new day, new energy, new motivation...

...

...

...

And a sore back.

"Ooh..." I groaned as I stretched a bit to relieve my back of some of its stress. I rubbed my eyes as my watery vision from just waking up cleared.

If you're expecting me to wake up in my room in Hakugyokurou, then congratulations! You're wrong! I was sleeping underneath the Saigyou Ayakashi.

Now, honestly, sleeping outside wasn't as bad as you might think. Here in Netherworld, there are no bugs, and the ground is pretty clean, so I don't have to worry about getting sick at least. Not that I know if I am able to get sick after I got hit by that truck. Not to mention that I at least have a blanket to keep me warm. So, all in all, it wasn't the worst experience of camping outside.

That doesn't make it less taxing on my back, though. Imagine, a twenty-year-old adult (debatably) like me complaining about his back like an old man.

You might be wondering why I slept outside? Well, if you remember from the end of the last chapter, I completely forgot to get some milk, which was why I was outside to begin with before I got sidetracked by the whole Imperishable Night incident.

One thing you must know about Yuyuko is that you must never, EVER, come between Yuyuko and her food. So when I came back without what she wanted, well... let's say that things got a little bit... rough.

Flashback

"Waaaahhh!!!" Yuyuko wailed with tears streaming down her eyes as she threw barrages of danmaku at me, who is doing my best to avoid getting hit.

"No! Stop it!" I pleaded to Yuyuko, but it fell on deaf ears.

Youmu was trembling in the corner, witnessing the carnage. She didn't know what to do. On one hand, she wanted to help me. On the other hand, she was ordered by Yuyuko to stand still. I mean, she did try to help by trying to explain why I forgot in the first place, but Yuyuko wasn't having any of it. Any sense of mercy she had was overshadowed by her sadness, her sorrow, her anguish, and most of all, her empty stomach.

"Awawawawawa...." Youmu looked ready to pass out, looking at the damage Yuyuko is doing to her own house. Of course, Yuyuko didn't mind it. Youmu, and probably me, are the one fixing the damages anyway.

"My milk!" Yuyuko was still crying like a spoiled kid. Don't get me wrong, she can be mature at times, but this is NOT that time.

"I said I'm sorry! How can I make this up?!" I shouted as I dodged yet another danmaku from Yuyuko.

"Then, gimme your milk!" Folks, that's what she said!

"How?!"

In the end, I decided to flee the crime scene, leave Hakugyokurou, and sleep outside. It was safer outside than inside right now anyway.

Back to the Present

I rubbed the back of my head as I slipped out of the warmth of my blanket. I yawned as I folded the blanket Youmu gave me after she managed to somewhat calm Yuyuko down.

Oh, and speaking of the devil, or,  in this case, half-phantom.

"(Y/N)!" I hear Youmu call out to me in the distance. "Good morning." She said with a tray of breakfast in her hand.
