Chapter 12: Re:Encounter, Connections

A standoff.

On one side is a wave of Heartless consisting of Shadows with a towering Darkside on the back, ready to attack at a moment's notice. On the opposite side stood me, clad in a shining white Falcon Armor.

Tens- no, Hundreds of Heartless stood in my way. And if I don't stop them now, who knows what will happen to the Village- no to this wonderful world of eastern wonderland.

And so, I began to run forward.

The wind blows towards my destination as if following my movements- or is it me following their moves?

Slowly, I felt my pace quicken as the wind pushed me forward. The wings on the back of my armor expanded, releasing a green fire, propelling me forward. Then, just like a bird free from a cage, I took flight, faster than I ever had before.

Shrouded in blue energy, I shredded through an army of Heartless, clearing a path between me and the Darkside. Full force ahead, I slammed against the Darkside, making it stumble back in pain. Once it regained its footing, it tried to swat me like a fly.

Unfortunately for it, with my newfound speed, it was a non-issue to move to the back of the Darkside's head and avoid a direct blow. I then struck the back of its head with a rocket-propelled kick. And for good measures, I activated the thrusters on my boots, creating an explosion, sending the giant Heartless stumbling forward as I jumped back.

A swarm of Shadow Heartless started to climb on the Darkside's back. One by one, they jumped at me. I fired a charged shot, no longer a giant blue ball of destruction, instead, it is now an elegant blue arrow that pierces through everything. And pierces the Shadow it does. With a hole in its gut, the Shadow disintegrated.

I turned the buster back to its Keyblade form and threw it at my enemies. The Keyblade cut through the air, spinning around like a boomerang. And just like a boomerang, it eventually found its way back into my hand.

Seeing its minions vanquished one by one, the Darkside jumped back into action. It sent a punch towards me and I blocked it with my Keyblade. Just like before, I was slowly being pushed back. Unlike that time, however, this time I have the advantage of rocket thrusters on my back and my feet. With the combined force of my push and the jets on my armors, I successfully parried the Darkside's fist.

I landed back on the ground. It was then that I noticed my armor started flickering in and out of existence.

"Seems I can't hold this on for long, huh?" I mused to myself. "Then I'll end this in one shot!"

The tip of my Keyblade started glowing, I aimed my blade towards the sky and fired a beam of light. A horizontal magic circle appeared in the sky, created from the beam of light I fired and catching the attention of the Heartless.

I crossed my arms in front of my face before spreading them out, unleashing a Giga Attack. Hundreds of blue arrows made of light rain down from the sky. Not a single one of them missing the Heartless. Each one has the power to disintegrate a Shadow with one shot. The rain of light eradicated the army of Shadow Heartless, leaving only the Darkside standing.

Enraged, the Darkside roared. Its roar echoed throughout the entire area. However, before it could do anything, I appeared in front of its face with my arm buster pointed downwards towards its body.

"No." I said. "I'll be having none of that."

The tip of my buster created a whirling sound as it charged one last devastating attack to end this titan once and for all. This attack is one that I wouldn't have been able to do without the aid of a spell card before. However, with the boost in energy provided by the armor, it was made possible to be used at its peak.
