Chapter 18

- Y/N's POV -

We arrived at school on time and all went straight to our lockers. I was busy organizing my locker when someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw someone unexpected "M-mom?" I said with a bit of shock in my voice "What are you doing here?" I asked "Didn't your dad tell you?" She asked me and I shook my head "I'm a new teacher here." She said with a smile.

I didn't know how to react, first she just got back in our life and second, she doesn't know how my life has been here in this school. She doesn't even know how my life has been ever since she left "Does the principal or the faculty know that you have a daughter that studies here?" I asked "No, but-" I cut her off "Please don't let anyone know." I said to her "If this is because of-" I cut her off once again "This is not because of our family problems. Just don't let anyone know that I am your daughter, please." I begged and saw her a bit disappointed "Hey Y/n." I jumped a bit "Oh h-hey Hyunjin." I said "Are you ready? The others are wai-" he stopped when he noticed the lady standing in front of me.

He immediately bowed and she bowed back as well "Uhmm, just a second" I said and faced my mom who was still standing in front of me  "The faculty is beside the library. Just go straight and after the 3rd classroom, turn left. The faculty is at the 2nd door on your right." I said, pretending that she just asked me where the faculty was.

She looked at me with sad eyes at first but put a smile on her face immediately "Thank you. You guys should go to your classrooms before the bell rings." She said before walking away.

I watched her walk away "Is she the new teacher?" Hyunjin asked and I nodded "She was asking me where the faculty was." I said while locking my locker.

Hyunjin just nodded "Let's go?" He asked, I looked to where my mom turned left before answering "Yeah, let's go." I said and walked with Hyunjin.

We all arrived at the classroom and went straight to our seats.

I couldn't get of my mind that my mom that I haven't seen for years will be working here. What if she finds out about Irene and Jennie? Even my dad doesn't even know what happens to me here in school. It will be way worst if....

"Hello? Earth to Y/n?" Jisung said breaking my thoughts.

I looked at him "Oh Jisung, sorry. What was that?" I asked "I asked you if you finished your science project? But looks like you're too occupied." he said "Is everything okay? You were acting fine earlier." He added.

I nodded and just smiled slightly "I'm fine..." I said.

Before Jisung could speak a teacher went in and grab our attention. We all went to our seats and sat down "Good Morning class!" the teacher said "Good Morning Ms. Kim!" We all said "Today, I will be introducing to you one of your new teacher." Ms. Kim said and looked at the door "Ms. Park..." she added.

A woman walked in and it was my mom. I looked at her and made eye contact with her for a few seconds before looking away "She will be your new head teacher and your english teacher. So, I hope all of you will be listening to her and respect her like how you respect your other teachers. Is that clear class?" Ms Kim said "Yes Ms. Kim." We all said.

Once Ms. Kim left, our new teacher started to introduce her self "Hello class, my name is Ms. Park. We won't be having a long class today since it's my first day with you guys. But, I want to get to know all of you so will be doing an activity." she said "I want all of you to get a piece of paper and write your name and tell me a little bit about yourself. I myself will be doing this so that you guys can get to know a little something about me as well. Is that okay?" She added.

We all nodded and followed her instructions

After 30 mins, Ms. Park called our attention "Is everyone done?" She asked.

We all said yes "Okay. So now, you be standing in front and read what you wrote one by one. This will help your other classmates to get to know you more." She instructed "I can go first.." She said.

After she introduced herself, she called us one by one. When it was my turn I slowly stand up and went in front. While walking, I didn't looked at anyone even to my mom. To be honest, I hate doing this. I hate talking in front of so much people and soon be judged by them.

When I was in front, I looked at the boys at the back who was smiling and giving me a thumbs up. While I looked at Hyunjin, he was also smiling and mouthing me a "You can do it".

I breathed and look at my paper "Hi, my name is Lee Y/n. I have been attending this school for 4 years." I stopped and glanced at my mom who was standing since the first student started "Sorry, I'm not really used to to talking in front of a whole class. " I said.

I can hear some students chuckling "Class, please keep quiet and listen to your classmate." she said and looked at me "It's okay. Just take your time." your mom said.

I look at my paper once again "I uhmm. I like to draw a lot. I know it doesn't sound interesting compared to want you guys wrote on your paper but drawing helps me with a lot of things. I draw whenever I'm stressed out or when I'm just bored. I draw when I feel angry, sad, happy or depending on how I'm feeling during the day. Since I seldom talk which I know you all can tell, I express my feelings and emotions through drawing." I stopped and glanced at my classmates.

I can tell that they weren't interested at all expect for Jisung, Felix, Seungmin, Jeongin and Hyunjin. Especially my mom who from all people that supposed to know this for a long time is now hearing this for the first time "At least she knows that it won't be interesting." Irene said and almost all my classmates started laughing "Class please be quiet! Please respect the person who is talking. I ask you all to do this not to laugh at your classmates but to get to know more about them." she said.

Once everyone was quiet "You may continue Ms. Lee." she said.

I put down my paper and tried hard not to let my tears fall. I felt like I just embarrassed myself in front of the whole class. I didn't want to talk or standing in front any longer "That's all, thank you." I said "Thank you for sharing that with us Ms. Lee." she said "You may go back to your seat." she added.

I went back to my seat "Bitch..." Irene whispered but enough for me to here when I passed her.

I kept walking and glanced at the boys. They were smiling at me but soon fell when they saw a tear fell down from my eye.

I wiped it immediately before I sat down.

Once I sat down at my chair, I opened my notebook gently and started drawing some random stuff.  Good thing I was seated at the back.

I can feel the boys especially Hyunjin, glancing at me from time to time but ignored it since all I can think about is how humiliating and embarrassing I was in front of the whole class.
