Chapter 27

-Changbin's POV-

Throughout the whole lunch break, I can tell that Y/n was bothered about what happened with me, Minho hyung, and Chan hyung. To be honest, I really don't want to believe Jennie. After all, she's been doing to Y/n, I don't think what Jennie said was true nor even the 3 girls who told everything about what happened

During lunch, Y/n wasn't talking. She would listen to us and would react slightly but it's obvious that her mind is somewhere else.

All of us stood up from the lunch table as we were about to head to our classroom. Once we're out of the cafeteria, Y/n stopped which made us all stop as well. She look at us "Whatever Jennie or Irene told you guys. It's not true." she said. The others were confused as to what Y/n was talking about but clearly, Minho hyung, Chan hyung and I know what she was talking about "How did you know?" Chan hyung asked "It was about me right? Obviously Jennie or Irene talked to you. Who else would it be?" she said "We can talk about this later but whatever she said about me, it's not true" she added looking at us

-Y/n's POV-

Classes finally ended. To be honest, the whole 3rd and 4th periods, I had a hard time focusing since all I can think about is what Jennie or Irene told Chan, Minho, and Changbin "You ready?" I heard Hyunjin ask "Hyungs are waiting at the gates" he added. I nodded my head as I carry my backpack

"Oh yeah, you wanted to tell me something after class right?" I asked Hyunjin remembering that he wanted to tell me something "It can wait Y/n. I think it's better if you and the hyungs talk about what happened earlier" he said, "Are you sure?" I asked as he nodded "Don't worry" he said

Once we were outside the campus I saw Chan, Minho, and Changbin with Jennie near the gates. I stopped in my tracks which didn't go unnoticed by Hyunjin. I was worried about the boys believing Jennie with whatever she was telling them. Suddenly, I felt a hand holding mine "Don't worry. Whatever it is, I'll believe you." Hyunjin said. I appreciate what Hyunjin said, somehow it made me feel relaxed a bit

We continued walking towards the others "Well hello Y/n!" Jennie said "I was just telling the others about what you did in the past" she added. I look at the others who were looking a bit awkward "What did I do?" I asked not really knowing what she was talking about. Jennie chuckled "You don't remember?" she asked as I shook my head "You don't remember how you f**ked my boyfriend even though you know that Lucas and I are dating?" she added. My eyes widen at what she's saying "Me? You're blaming me for what Irene did?" I said "My god Jennie! Are you really desperate on getting close to the boys?" I said, "So desperate that you would blame me just to make me look bad in front of them?" I added completely angry with what she was doing "Grow up Jennie! If you want to be friends with people that you want to be friends with, stop being a b*t*h then!" I said with anger but I soften my expression once I look at the boys "I know I don't talk about myself to you guys. But, what Jennie is saying, I'm not that kind of person. But if you believe her..." I stopped "I hope you guys give me a chance to prove that I'm not that kind of person" I continued

The boys glance at each other before looking back at me "I don't believe every single thing she said Y/n. You might not talk about yourself to us which is fine but that doesn't mean I'll believe what comes out of her mouth" Changbin said, I slightly smiled at him and look at the others. Just like Changbin, the others didn't believe Jennie, and just like what Hyunjin said earlier he didn't believe Jennie as well but I waited for Chan's reaction. I got worried seeing his expression "Hyung, you don't believe her right?" Hyunjin asked but he didn't answer which Jennie smirked "Chan, I promise you, Jennie is lying. Everything she said was not true. I didn't do anything." I said hoping that he'll believe me "I.." Chan started "You know Chan, if you don't believe me, you won't be having a hard time right now" Jennie said "I mean, the others didn't think twice but you..." she added "You know what, you don't have to answer now Chan. I know it's hard to just believe me since basically, you don't know a thing about me so I won't blame you if you will believe Jennie over me." I said then turned to Jennie "I hope what you are doing satisfies you" I said to her before leaving all of them behind "Y/n wait!" I heard one of them call me but ignored them just not having the right mood right now

-End of Y/n's POV-

-Hyunjin's POV-

"Y/n wait!" I said but she didn't look back. I run to her trying to catch up but I can feel that the others wanted to catch up as well. Once I'm near her, I grab her arm gently making her look back at me "What Hyunjin?" she asked as she wipes a tear off her face. I look at her deep into her eyes and I can see that she's hurt. Without speaking a word, I hugged her and rub her back. I can tell that she was surprised at first but hugged me back and cried "Never once in my life have thought of doing what Jennie said. NEVER." she said "It's okay Y/n. Just let it out." I said "What did I do to deserve this? I don't understand why she's doing this to me" she said as I saw the others running to us but I signaled them to stop since I know how upset she is right now. The others understand and walked a bit far from us and waited. I released the hug and make her look at me "Listen to me Y/n. What Jennie said, I know she was lying. The important thing is you know what's the truth and I know that you're telling the truth." I said "I know we only know each for a short time but I know that I'll regret my decision if I believe Jennie over you" I added "And I'm sure that the boys believe in you too" I continued as I point at the others who were waiting.

She looks at where I was pointing as the others walk towards us "I'm sorry if you thought that I don't believe you Y/n. I do believe you, it's just that..." Chan started "I get it Chan. You don't have to explain anything" Y/n said "It's okay" she added before looking back at me "I'll be going home now. I'll just see you boys tomorrow" she said "Let us walk you home" I said "No Hyunjin, it's fine. I'll be okay." she said before start walking home.
