Chapter 10

Ruby walked through the halls making sure to be quiet to not catch attention. She finally came across a big cave. She looked around seeing no one in sight. Ruby continued to walk and found a pile of treasure. Among the treasure was her weapon. She grabbed her deadly weapon "never again..." Ruby whispered hugging her weapon. She heard heavy footsteps approaching that were clearly not humans. She ducked behind the treasure peeking her head out slightly to take a peek. She saw Weiss stomp into the room. "Weiss..." Ruby gasped slightly alerting Weiss to her presence. She growled her eyes glancing back and forth. Ruby inhaled stepping out from her hiding spot. Weiss got into a fighting position growling animalisticly. Ruby took a deep breath and put crescent rose away showing Weiss she came in peace. "Weiss...it's me...Ruby...don't you remember? I know you're still in there and I...I am not going to let him control you..." Ruby said in a confident tone.
Weiss continued to growl but her stance lightened up slightly. Ruby could tell Weiss could understand her.
"It's me your girlfriend...remember? Do you remember our little friendship bracelets we made...?" Ruby asked holding up her wrist to the dragon. Weiss let out a huff smoke coming from her nostrils like a angry bull. Ruby held up her hand in a calming way. "Do you remember?" Ruby asked noticing the dragons eyes were on her wrist. Ruby gave her a smile "I'm right here...my little dragon," Ruby cooed using the nickname Weiss liked the most. Weiss had stopped growling and her stance was more neutral.
Weiss slowly inched her snout to Ruby's hand sniffing her scent. "Yeah...it's me," Ruby whispered as Weiss nuzzled into her hand.
Weiss purred as Ruby pet her. "I knew you were still in there..." Ruby whispered tears of happiness filling her eyes. Weiss opened her eyes her pupils now back to normal. Ruby have her a tearful smile. Ruby hugged Weiss "you're back!" Ruby cheered as she snuggled into Weiss's scaley skin. Weiss purred hugging Ruby with her large arm. Weiss began to grunt and growl seemingly trying to say something. "What is it Weiss?" Ruby asked looking around only to see they were still alone. Weiss began walking in circles. Ruby began to think of what Weiss was attempting to say. Weiss pointed to herself and it clicked. "You can't change back can you?" Ruby asked looking into her girlfriends icy blue eyes. Weiss shook her head with worry. Ruby gave her a small reassuring smile "it's ok we just have to get yang, alex, and...Blake..." Ruby suddenly remembered blake was still under kaps control and if kap were to roar near Weiss she would be back under his control.
Ruby began to think of what to do until an idea formed in her head.
"Weiss yang and I will get you Alex and you take him somewhere safe...yang and I will get Blake," Ruby instructed her girlfriend. Weiss nodded in understanding nuzzling her muzzle into Ruby's side with a small purr. Ruby smiled a small blush forming on her cheeks. She kissed Weiss's muzzle "I know you can do it," Ruby whispered looking into the icy blue eyes she loved. Weiss purred licking Ruby's face like a overgrown dog. Ruby chuckled as she wiped the the saliva from her face. Weiss purred with an innocent look.
The two walked down the cave together Ruby holding crescent rose defensively. Ruby, yang, and Weiss all reconnected. "You're both ok! Is Blake with you?" Yang asked hopefully. Ruby slowly shook her head "we'll get her back...I have a plan," Ruby said with a confident smirk.
Ruby explained the plan to her sister who nodded in understanding.
Yang put alex on Weiss's back as she used her weapons that Ruby had given her back to blow a hole in the wall. "stay safe Weiss," Ruby mumbled trying to hide her sadness. Weiss smiled nodding her head as she flew off. Ruby watched her fly past the cloud to the ground below. Ruby took in a deep breath as she followed behind her sister.

Ruby and yang found their way back to the throne room. Kap wasn't there "where is he...?" Yang asked holding up her gauntlets. "I don't kn-" Ruby was cut off by kap landing behind them creating a heavy shock wave.
The two girls grunted as their bodies collided with the ground. Ruby was the first to get up "kap..." Ruby growled with a grunt. Kap for once had no smirk on his face.
"Hello humans..." Kap growled his claws sinking into the dirt. Ruby tried to settle it peacefully "listen...you don't have to do this...just let our friend go and we'll leave," Ruby offered with a genuine expression.
Kap laughed loudly "I am the dragon king you pathetic humans can't defeat me! And your friend is my subject she's mine," he said a evil smirk growing on his face. Yang grew angry her eyes glowing red. Ruby held her hand out to calm yang. "There's no need to fight!" Ruby called her sister glaring at the dragon.
Kap smirked "I am eger to see how well you humans can fight," kap said inhaling sharply. Ruby knew his next move as she had been examining Weiss and blake's fighting styles. She tackled her sister to the side behind a large stone pillar. "Make sure you're close to something so you can duck ok," Ruby instructed her sister. Yang nodded and ran in the opposite direction because they both knew kap couldn't target both of them. Ruby managed to grab onto his tail stabbing into it with her knife. To kap the knife was nothing but a small pin prick. He attempting to shake her off but Ruby was persistent. She climbed up his back climbing onto his neck but the dragon managed to shake her off. She landed on the ground managing to catch herself. Kap attention was pulled away from her by a arrow hit his cheek curtsy of yang. He growled as he stomped his foot causing the rock to rise and hit yang.
"YANG!" Ruby shouted worried for her sister. Yang slowly got up struggling slightly.
Ruby growled slashing her weapon into the dragons leg. He roared in pain attempting to squish her like a bug. The red tipped girl dodged his foot. Suddenly a loud roar came from behind catching the two teens attention. It was Blake "BLAKE!" yang shouted forgetting she was under kaps attention.
Blake growled inhaling sharply sending black fire from her throat. Ruby dodged but yangs arm was badly burned from the flame. She let out a scream of anguish as she held her badly burned arm. "Blake stop! I know you're still in there you can fight it!" Ruby yelled trying to snap her friend out of kaps control. Blake didn't seem to respond at all. "Why isn't this working? It worked with Weiss!" Ruby wondered as she dodged the attacks thrown at her. She knelt beside yang "are you ok yang!?" Ruby asked knowing she wasn't but still wanted to ask. Yang grunted "I...I'm fine...grrrr...." Yang groaned her eyes shut tightly. Ruby glanced at Blake who was looking for them not seeing where they went. Suddenly it clicked in Ruby's mind only yang could get through to Blake just like how only Ruby could get to Weiss.
"Yang you're going to have to talk to Blake only you can snap her out of it," Ruby instructed her sister with a serious tone. Yang was shocked "r...really?" Yang asked her arm still in pain. Ruby nodded "ok...I'll do it distract that big bastard," yang said with a smirk as she stood up.
Yang ran to her girlfriend "Blake! I know you're in there! Please fight him I know my Blakey is still in there!" Yang shouted catching the purple and black dragons attention. Blake growled "please... remember how we met...heh...you almost killed me but...once I got to know you...I immediately fell in love...I knew I loved you from first sight but I didn't know how to express it...I was such a wuss... remember out first kiss...?" Yang asked the dragons growls stopping. She was getting through to Blake "I love you Blake...more than anything... so please...come back..." Yang begged her fear disappearing as she hugged Blake. Blake let out a small whine as tears filled her eyes as kaps connection broke.
Kap growled as Ruby sliced into his back with her syphe. Ruby sliced off his biggest horn causing his aura to break. Ruby knew dragons were different most of their aura is stored in their horns. He fell to the ground his body glowing as he transformed into his human form. He slowly scooted away as the three teens surrounded him with not so happy looks on their faces. He held up his hand in defeat "I...p...please don't!" He begged shutting his eyes. Ruby sighed "we're not gonna hurt you...we just came back for Blake...you can live up here and rot for all we care... goodbye kap..." Ruby spat turning to leave. Kap looked down in shame "I...I'm sorry..." He said loud enough for the teens to hear. Ruby looked back her expression unreadable "just don't hurt people...it's not right...I think you know that," Ruby said walking to the exit of the cave. Blake transformed into her dragon form waiting for her friends to climb on her back. They flew to the ground to the place where they were all supposed to meet.
Ruby saw the familiar white hair of Ruby "there they are!" Ruby called pointing at them. They all landed "Ruby! Yang! Blake!" Weiss called running towards them. The team of girls hugged happily giggling happy to be back together. Alex slowly approached them "um...wh....where is kap...is he ok...?" Alex asked with a worried look. "He's alive he's still in the cave," yang informed him. Alex smiled "thank you guys...I'm gonna go see him...I know he did bed things but...he's still my friend..." Alex said confidently. Ruby smiled proudly at him "it was nice fighting along side you Alex," Ruby said hugging him. He smiled turning to the mountain walking towards the path. He gave one last wave as he walked out of view.
That night the four teens enjoyed each other's company after being apart for so long. Ruby couldn't sleep that night she was so happy that Blake and Weiss were ok. Ruby turned to look at Weiss she watched her snore slightly. Ruby slowly scooted closer wrapping her arm around Weiss's waist who was still awake as well. "R...Ruby! What are y...you doing?" Weiss asked as Ruby buried her face in the back of Weiss's neck. "I missed you..." Ruby whispered cuddling close. Weiss blushed and purred slightly "dolt..." Weiss whispered as she turned around to face her girlfriend. Weiss placed her hand on Ruby's cheek. "Why are you so stupid?" Weiss asked jokingly. "Why are you so cute~?" Ruby flirted pecking Weiss's noice. Weiss blushed "I really missed you Weiss...I...I thought....I was going to lose you to...him..." Ruby muttered in a slightly broken voice.
Weiss's expression softened as she kissed Ruby lovingly. Their lips danced together in harmony. Their lips at this point clicked together like puzzle pieces. Ruby moaned slightly as Weiss's hand wandered up Ruby's shirt. The two separated "w...wow..." Ruby blushed as her mind was blank. Weiss smiled "I'm not letting anyone take me away from you again...I love you...so don't worry," Weiss whis burying her head into the crook of Ruby's neck. "Now shut up and go to sleep," Weiss grunted as she wrapped her arms around Ruby's waist. Ruby blushed and chuckled slightly "ok..."
