Chapter 18

Ruby was lying on her sleeping bag. Winter and Weiss were examining Ruby's new wolf features. "What happened to her..." Yang asked in a worried tone. "I looks like the beowolf that bit her was...a werewolf," winter said poking Ruby's ears. The ears twitched at the sudden contact. Winter sighed "she's been turned into a werewolf," winter said with a frown. "Is there a cure?" Yang asked with worry. Winter slowly shook her head with a sorry look. "...well we'll have to get used to this..." Yang whispered staring at her sister. Ruby growled in her sleep. "G...go away...I...I'm not...S...stop...stop..." Ruby groaned in her feverish state. Winter sighed "a fever is a part of the transformation...the body attempts to fight the werewolf infection but...it's to strong..." Winter explained while Weiss wiped the sweat off of Ruby's forehead. Ruby calmed down slightly as the cold rag damped her burning cheeks and forehead.
Weiss moved her bangs from her face calming her down.
Rain began to pour from the sky causing the kids to retreat into the cave they were sitting near. The rain poured heavily as thunder roared through the air.
Whitly ran around in the rain enjoying the feel on his skin. Weiss watched over Ruby as winter watched over whitly. Blake and yang were making dinner.
Ruby groaned as she trembled her skin growing pale and bags forming under her eyes. Weiss washed her forehead causing Ruby to relax. "...no...Weiss...stay please..." Ruby gasped in her sleep.
Weiss stroked Ruby's hair and felt her heart break. Weiss grabbed some water and gave it to Ruby making her drink it. Yang sat next to her with some cooked fish on a stick in her hands. "Here," yang simply said handing the food to Weiss. Weiss slowly ate it with a dazed look staring down at Ruby.
Yang left her alone to let her think. Ruby was now calmer but she was still pretty pale. Ruby held Weiss's hand in her sleep a small smile coming onto her face. Weiss blushed and grinned as she softly squeezed her hand.

Weiss stayed up late to watch over Ruby. Weiss studied Ruby's new ears and tail she also noticed her k-9 teeth had gotten sharper more fang like. Weiss touched her own fangs and realized Ruby's were sharper than hers which was rare.
Dragons were known as the most dangerous creatures in all of remnant if you made them angry. They were the holders of some of the deadliest magics and claws as well of fangs.
Werewolves and dragons had been at war for years, rivals if you will. Weiss noted this in her mind feeling a bit worried. Ruby groaned as her eyes twitched as she began to wake up. Ruby's eyes slowly opened as she was regaining her consciousness. "Ruby!" Weiss whisper yelled not wanting to wake the others. Ruby slowly looked up at Weiss. "W...Weiss...?" Ruby called groggily. Weiss gently held her up "yeah, it's me my little flower," Weiss whispered with a grin. Ruby slowly smiled realizing it was truly Weiss and not another dream. "How...how long was I out?" Ruby asked taking a sip out of the water Weiss gave her. "15 hours 29 minutes and 12 seconds," Weiss replied in a knowing tone. Ruby looked at her with a blank expression she blinked several times. "You know the exact seconds...?" Ruby asked in disbelief. Weiss sheepishly nodded "I was worried ok..." Weiss huffed looking away. Ruby chuckled her knew ears twitching as she chuckled. "Thanks for looking after me...?" Ruby said smiling brightly. "Ruby, do you...feel any different...?" Weiss asked in a concerned tone. Ruby looked at her with confusion on her face. "What do you mean?" Ruby asked. Weiss poked Ruby's right wolf ear. Ruby yelped in surprise and touched where Weiss had touched. She felt the fluffy ears atop her head. "W...what the hell...?" Ruby asked in disbelief.
She noticed her tail and gasped staggering back. "What happened to me!?" Ruby gasped as she poked at her ear. Weiss took Ruby's wrist "woah woah Ruby calm down...it's ok you were bitten by a werewolf...the effects...are permanent..." Weiss said gesturing to her tail and ears.
"So...I'm gonna have these forever...?" Ruby asked in disbelief.
Weiss slowly nodded with a slightly sad expression. Ruby looked down seemingly deep in thought. Weiss waited patiently for Ruby to talk again. Ruby sighed "...I..." Ruby started but seemed to have no words after that. "Ruby, I know this will be a big adjustment but..." Weiss hesitated for a moment as she grabbed Ruby's hands tenderly. "We'll have each other through all of it I promise," Weiss promised as she stared straight into Ruby's eyes.
Ruby teared up slightly and smiled "thank you Weiss..." Ruby thanked hugging the blue eyed beauty.
The two hugged warmly for minutes enjoying each other's warmth.
Weiss placed her hand on Ruby's cheek looking deep into her sliver orbs she loved. "Weiss..." Ruby whispered as Weiss leaned in closer.
Ruby began to slowly close her eyes as Weiss inched closer and closer. The twos lips collided as they kissed lovingly. Ruby's new tail wagged so did Weiss's. The two pulled away smiling goofily and giggled as quiet as they could. "Hm...your new tail is cute~" Weiss complimented sweetly with a wink. Ruby blushed as the speed of her wagging increased mirroring her heartbeat.
Ruby looked into Weiss's eyes "so...I'm a werewolf now...?" Ruby asked still processing her new appendages. Weiss nodded her hand still on the young girls cheek.
Weiss remembered when she walked in on yang petting blake's ears and it caused her to moan. Weiss got an idea a small smirk forming on her lips. Weiss reached up and slowly began to pet Ruby's soft, fluffy ears. Ruby's face went red and a faint purr began to break the silence of the cave. Ruby purred loudly as her ears were being pat by Weiss's soft fingers. "W...Weiss~ ah~s...stop...that...t...tickles...hmmm~"
Ruby moaned as her tail quickly swayed from side to side. Weiss smirked as she continued to pet Ruby's fluffy ears. Ruby grabbed Weiss's hand looking up into her eyes. Weiss grew a bit nervous and slowly pulled her hand away. "Heh heh sorry..." Weiss apologized sheepishly. Ruby suddenly kissed Weiss passionately. Weiss was taken aback by Ruby's sudden action. Ruby slowly pushed Weiss back onto her back. Ruby loomed over Weiss as she hovered on top of her.
Ruby had a serious expression "Ruby wha-" Ruby pressed her finger to Weiss's lips. "shhhh~" Ruby whispered in Weiss's ears. Ruby pressed her lips to Weiss's neck kissing down her neck. "A...ah~" Weiss moaned trying to be quiet. Ruby pulled her lips away and looked into Weiss's eyes. "You're not the only one who can be a tease~" Ruby whispered with a small smirk.
Ruby got up leaving the fluster and shocked Weiss on her sleeping bag. Ruby woke the others up and yang immediately hugged her sister happily. Weiss slowly got up still extremely flustered and red.
Weiss stared at Ruby as she acted normal.
"What's gotten into her...?" Weiss wondered as she slowly sighed.
Ruby glanced back and smirked with a wink. Weiss blushed even more "now she's messing with me!" Weiss growled in her head.

The travelers walked for a few hours.
Ruby looked at the map "yang...our village should be only a few hours away we're almost there!" Ruby said excitedly her tail wagging happily. Yang smiled brightly "yes! I can't wait to see dad again!" Yang cheered pumping her fist in the air. Yang turned to the others "you guys are gonna love our dad he's such a goofball but he's a great guy!" Yang said in a complimentary tone. "Yeah but how does he feel about dragons...?" Blake asked with slight worry. "Well he's never really hated them but he honestly doesn't care all to much..." Yang replied as they walked down the road.
Weiss stayed silent her mind still on the events of this morning. Weiss blushed uncontrollably.

Hours later they made it to Ruby's old village "we have to be careful guys...our village is the headquarters of the howling wolves so we have to hide really well," Ruby warned pulling up her hood.
They walked through the path of the village to Ruby's home. They made it to the front door. Ruby slowly raised her hand to knock but hesitated. "What's wrong sis?" Yang asked with confusion. "What if he...my ears..." Ruby muttered worriedly. Yang smiled "he won't care Ruby...he's our dad," yang said with a confident smile Ruby took a deep breath and knocked on the door. After a few moments the door was opened by the familiar blond man. He stared in disbelief at the people in front of him.

"Heh...hi dad..."
