Chapter 7

Henry marigold...may marigold...their hair...eyes... they're both in atlas...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Ruby woke up slowly the sound of birds from outside waking her up.
Ruby tried to get up but was stopped by a force on her shoulder and side.
She slowly looked to her side her gaze falling upon Weiss cuddling close to her. Ruby's cheeks heated up as Weiss rested her head on the younger girls shoulder.
Ruby sighed holding in her squeal of excitement and gayness.
She collected herself and sighed looking down at Weiss. She stared at Weiss's sleeping face. "She so adorable..." Ruby thought as her lips form into a dazed smile. Weiss grumbled in her sleep moving her face closer. Ruby felt her cheeks heat up even more as Weiss was mere inches away from her face.
Ruby tried getting up once more but Weiss didn't give in she growled lowly in her sleep. Ruby laid back down not wanting to get bitten...yet. Ruby decided that the only way she was getting up is if she woke up the sleeping dragon.
She poked Weiss's horns always wondering how they felt. Once her finger made contact with the snowy haired dragons horn her eyes immediately shot open and she bit Ruby's hand. Ruby immediately let out a small yelp as the pain kicked in from the bite on her hand. Weiss took a few seconds to realize what she had done. "R...Ruby! Oh my gods I'm so sorry!" Weiss whisper shouted trying not to wake the bumblebee duo.
Ruby gave her a small smile as she held her bleeding hand. "I...it's ok Weiss I shouldn't have touched your horns when you were sleeping...it doesn't even hurt that much," Ruby reassured the older girl.
Weiss got up and looked into her bag. She pulled out some bandages walking back over to her. "Give me your hand," Weiss said in a soft tone. Ruby obeyed and gave Weiss her hand. Weiss took Ruby's hand and began bandaging it.
"Her hands are so soft..." Ruby thought as she stared at Weiss. Ruby smiled as Weiss finished bandaging her hand. "There...sorry again for b...biting you..." Weiss apologized sheepishly. Ruby smiled leaning closer Weiss felt her cheeks heat up at how close Ruby had moved in.
"You're so adorable..." Ruby whispered leaning even closer. Their lips collided sending warmth through both of them. Ruby felt her heart race as she slowly pulled away. Weiss became flustered "hmm~ you're cute when you blush~" Ruby winked with a small smirk.
Weiss huffed "you're an idiot..." Weiss huffed crossing her arms. The two sat in silence for a few seconds. "...can I have another kiss please..." Weiss asked sheepishly. Ruby giggled caressing Weiss's cheek leaning closer. "Of course," Ruby whispered kissing Weiss softly. Weiss placed her hands over Ruby's as they kissed lovingly. "You two having fun there?" Yangs voice asked from behind.
Ruby and Weiss quickly pulled apart their faces going red. "Y...YANG! H...HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN AWAKE!?" Ruby asked frantically her face redder than her cape.
Yang chuckled "a while~" yang said in a sing song voice.
Ruby threw a blanket at her covering her sister. Blake smirked looking up from her book. "YOU'RE BOTH AWAKE!?" Ruby yelled jumping to her feet. "yup~" the bumblebee duo said in unison. The whiterose duo both blushed intensely. "You're both idiots..." Weiss grumbled crossing her arms still blushing. "We should get going," Ruby said standing up. They all grabbed their stuff and began walking down the path.
Ruby looked up at the grey clouds "it might rain soon..." Ruby thought as she stared at the sky. Ruby glanced behind her her eyes locking with Weiss's. They stared for a second before the both turned away flustered. Ruby's mind race "are we dating now? Does she really love me? When we get to the sanctuary...what will happen...?" Ruby wondered as she clenched her backpack straps. "R...Ruby..." Yang called in a scared and shaky tone. Ruby glanced back and then to where all three girls were staring. A large campsite. Ruby gasped her eyes widening as her eyes fell upon the destroyed and bloody campsite. "Dear gods..." Yang muttered in horror as she covered her mouth. "Maybe there are survivors!" Ruby yelled as she ran ahead.
They looked around the camp trying to not gag at the mutilated bodies. "Guys over here!" Blake called from across the camp.
They ran over to the half faunus half dragon. They looked at the tents there were large slashes in the tents. "Grimm..." Ruby spat. Yang looked around "we should go...incase they're still lurking around..." Yang said narrowing her eyes. The rest agreed as they left the site behind. Ruby lingered for a moment which Weiss noticed. She walked beside Ruby "you ok...?" Weiss asked with a small sad tone. Ruby hesitated "yeah...I'm fine..." Ruby responded turning to follow yang and Blake. Weiss sighed following her team.

Nightfall came and so did the grimm. They set up camp and Blake set the fire. Their worry and fear had died down and were now alot happier and care free. They sat around the fire telling jokes and talking. Ruby pulled out her guitar that was able to fold so it could fit in her bag.
She began playing.

When Ruby finished yang and Blake smirked at the blushing Weiss.

An hour later Blake and yang fell asleep. But Ruby was still awake along with Weiss who was watching over the two other teens. Weiss stood up and walked over to Ruby sitting in a tree. She climbed up "hey," Weiss said simply. Ruby looked at her a small blush appearing on her cheek. "Hey..." Ruby replied with a small smile.
"What are you thinking about...?" Weiss asked looking to Ruby. "I um...I was w...wondering...um..." Ruby stuttered trying to find her words. "What is it?" Weiss asked with curiosity. "Are we...c...couple...?" Ruby stuttered feeling her heart race from nervousness. Weiss was surprised by her question but slowly smiled taking Ruby's hand. "Of course we are dummy...why do you think I kissed you back?" Weiss asked with an adorable grin. Ruby's heart felt like it was going to explode. "...damnit you're too cute..." Ruby muttered covering her face with her hands. Weiss blushed hard but giggled "you're cute too...for a human," Weiss joked with a small chuckle. Ruby huffed "what!" Ruby gasped as Weiss laughed. Ruby pushed Weiss playfully with a grin growing on her face. 
Ruby and Weiss looked at each other a certain sparkle in each of their eyes. They both slowly began to lean in slowly beginning to close their eyes. Suddenly Ruby was stopped by Weiss by the dragons finger pressing against Ruby's lips. Ruby was confused as Weiss began to giggle. "If you want a kiss you're going to have to earn it," Weiss said pointing Infront of them. Ruby turned her head to where Weiss was pointing. Glowing red eyes could be seen in the forest approaching their little camp. Ruby smirked as she pulled out crescent rose cracking her neck. "Ok little dragon~ I'm up for a challenge~" Ruby winked jumping down and running towards the beowolves. Weiss rolled her eyes playfully  as she followed her eyes changing into a more icy blue.
Weiss followed Ruby's scent and the howling of wolves. She made it to a clearing seeing Ruby slicing through the beowolves. Ruby saw Weiss "I can't handle these small fries just sit back and watch!" Ruby said with a wink.

Ruby panted as the grimm around her evaporated. Ruby turned to Weiss with a smirk. "Well did I earn that kiss~?" Ruby asked flirtatiously. Weiss blushed and smirked "a deals a deal~" Weiss said stepping closer. Ruby leaned in kissing Weiss lovingly.
Ruby chuckled "what's so funny?" Weiss asked curiously. "You're just so short," Ruby teased as she noticed she had to bend down slightly to kiss her.
Weiss blushed punching Ruby's arm causing Ruby to laugh. "C'mon dolt we should get some sleep," Weiss said grabbing Ruby's hand.
Ruby smiled as she laid down next to Weiss pulling her close. "R...Ruby let me go!" Weiss whisper shouted not wanting to wake Blake and yang. Ruby smiled resting her chin on top of Weiss's head. "Hmmmm...nah," Ruby said cuddling close. Weiss accepted that she couldn't break from Ruby's hold "you stupid human..." Weiss whispered burying her head in Ruby's neck. Ruby hummed "I love you too," Ruby whispered kissing the top of her head. Weiss slowly smiled "fuck you..." Weiss whispered in the harshest tone she could muster at that moment. "You're my little dragon..." Ruby whispered flirting with her new girlfriend. Weiss blushed "I...I suppose I am..." Weiss whispered hugging Ruby tightly.
"Goodnight Ruby..." Weiss whispered closing her eyes.
