Summer
"Cheers!" June and my brother screamed with huge smiles.
"Why are we cheering again?" Remo asked mixing around his water waiting for his burger to come.
"Obviously because y'all won." Kaho said while June and Tetsuji nodded vigorously.
"Come on, Remo, no need to be so stuck up right now." Kyo laughed, "Or maybe your just pissed you lost the point game."
"You lost, too," he growled back at Kyo.
Kyo shrugged, "I figured I might loose, but I didn't care, as long as I beat Xzavier." Xzavier glared at Kyo and rolled his eyes.
"Whatever," he scowled.
We all laughed and my phone began buzzing. I saw an unfamiliar number pop up on my screen, though it was a New York area code. I stood up excusing myself and walked outside. "Hello?"
"Blueberry," his voice said and I smirked.
"Couldn't speak enough with me today? Wow, I'm honored, Louis." He growled.
"Don't get full of yourself," he began, "I'm here to speak about Thomas."
"What about him?"
"I think you should convince him to transfer." I snorted but Louis continued. "I'm serious. He would benefit greatly by performing at Juba, and he'd grow dirastically with whom ever your trainer was."
I rose an eyebrow in amusement while speaking, "Dude, it was my younger sister."
"Huh?"
"My younger sister, the one you saw on the bench today, that's our trainer. She's ten, though she's still learning a lot. She trained us."
Louis was silent.
"I don't believe you," I burst out laughing and Louis grumbled. "Listen, blueberry, just talk to him."
"Why should I?" I laughed.
"What do you mean, do you not want him on your team?" Louis asked confused.
"Well duh," I snorted, "but it's his decision to come to the school. Me? I don't care. I'll beat him whether he chooses to transfer to Juba or not. We are creating a summer team for practice and stuff, as well as a few other reasons. Which reminds me," I began, "wanna practice with us and be on our team this summer?"
It was silent.
"Hello?" I said.
"That's a funny joke."
"No joke. I'm genuinely asking, is that really so surprising?" I said with a smile.
"Yes." Louis said almost immediately. My smile fell.
"Damn, alright. But if you'd like to, just text this number. I'm starving and the burgers are coming soon, so I'll see you whenever."
"Whatever." Louis said.
"Bye LouLou!" I said with a smile.
"Bye asshat."
"Hey!" I shouted annoyed and Louis hung up.
Such an annoying dude.
As I was about to walk back inside, another call interrupted my victory dinner. "What Louis?" I said into the phone.
"Louis? Boy do you even save numbers now?" I jumped in surprise.
"Summer?"
"Bruh, about time. God, you are annoying sometimes. Makes me want to punch you." The girl said in a very aggressive way.
