Oktoberfest

Lisa had been in Munich for a season and she had grown close to Viv, the young Dutch goal scorer. All their teammates could see that there was something between them and had put bets on when they would start dating and who would ask who out. Most thought that Lisa would be the one to ask Viv out as she was the older, more confident one. However, when Oktoberfest arrived the team went out on a big night out after a crucial win.

Viv had been wanting to ask Lisa out on a date for a while but never had the guts to do it. While on the night out with the team Viv decided to take a chance. However Lisa ended up sitting at the other end of the table to Viv. For the first part of the night, Viv found herself constantly staring at Lisa. Katie Stengel could see that she was a bit out of it and not really engaging in any conversations. Katie realised that Lisa was going to get another few drinks from the bar and pushed Viv to go with her.

This gave Viv some alone time with Lisa for the first time that night.

They didn't really talk as they were going to the bar but as they were walking, Viv slowly started to intertwine her fingers with Lisa's and Lisa did the same back. They got to the end of the small queue for the toilets and stood holding hands. This put a smile on both their faces. While waiting for the drinks, Viv used the confidence that she had gained from having a few drinks in her and asked Lisa on a date. Lisa's heart was racing and the smile on her face grew and was happy that Viv did have the same feelings towards her as she did towards Viv. Once they got back to the table the only seats available were at the end facing each other. They ended up chatting the whole night out with the team.

When the team night out ended Lisa ended up going back to Viv's and they were chatting all night. The next morning they woke up in each other's arms on the sofa with the tv still playing.

Later that week Viv took Lisa on a date to a nice restaurant in Munich and a few days later after training they Viv decided to ask Lisa to be her girlfriend. They waited a few weeks before telling the team about their relationship. When they did Katie was the only one to have guessed that Viv would be the one to ask Lisa out and that's why she pushed Viv to buy Lisa a drink at the team night out.
