Olympics

It was the Olympic final and Viv was playing against Lisa. It was the first time that they had to do this. The only time Lisa had played the Dutch was in 2013 - way before she started dating Viv. And Viv had never played the Scottish. They had played against each other in the Bundesliga but again this was before they were dating.

They had been messaging throughout the tournament but hadn't seen each other due to the teams playing in different cities across the country. They had been in the same city for a few days before the final. They managed to meet up in the Olympic village for a few hours when they both had rest time. This was the first time that they had seen each other in over a month and a half. It was the longest time that they had been apart from each other and they missed each other so much. They didn't do much, just a walk around the village where all the athletes were staying and then back to Viv's room for a while. They just lay on her bed in each other's arms and being happy to have some time together. Viv didn't like sleeping without Lisa. She had flip but that wasn't the same, she likes cuddling up to Lisa at night and it made her feel more safe.

The Olympic Final was tough for both of them. Knowing that one of them would lose and the other would win. The Dutch ended up winning the match. Viv scored both goals in a 2-1 win for the Dutch with Lisa scoring the GB goal. Viv was happy that she won Olympic gold but sad that she had beaten Lisa.

At the closing ceremony all the athletes were able to mix after they had walked out with their respective nations. Viv was with Jill and DVD and they went to try and find some of the GB players. DVD dated Beth who was on the same team as Lisa. After the final, Viv and Lisa hadn't really seen each other as they were being pulled away from their respective teams and the media. Both Lisa and Viv had big smiles on their faces when they saw each other and had a big hug. They celebrated their achievements (silver was still a massive achievement for Lisa) together.

After the Olympics, Viv went back to the Netherlands and Lisa went back to the UK. Viv then flew to London and Lisa picked her up from the airport. Lisa had some flowers for Viv and waited for her by the arrivals section. Viv was so happy when she saw Lisa there to pick her up from the airport. It had been over 2 months since they properly got to see each other and spend time together. They shared a long hug before heading back home.

The time apart made them realise how much they loved each other and how they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Viv and Lisa went up to Scotland to visit Lisa's family. Viv's parents and brother, Lars, also came up to Scotland. They both had the plan to propose to each other. Both had talked to their respective parents about it and had asked for permission from the other's parents. All the parents were in on Lisa and Viv proposing at the same time. The parents got the idea of them going for a hike together and proposing at the top of the hill.

That weekend Viv and Lisa went for a morning hike up one of the hills together to spend some much needed time together and to reflect on the Olympics. They got to the top of the hill and looked out to the beautiful views from the bench that there was. This was confirmation for Viv that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Lisa and hopefully they could move up to Scotland and enjoy more of these views that she loved about Scotland.

After a couple minutes sitting together at the top of the hill in silence, they both went into their bags - unknowingly going into their bags to get the same thing - they both turned back to each other realising what the other was about to do and both got onto one knee. They both asked the question and both answer yes. Viv was happy that she had got out of bed early that morning considering that she isn't very good in the morning.

They walked down the hill hand in hand hoping that they would never have to play each other in such a big match and never have to spend so much time away from each other again.
