Suprise

Lisa had been called up to the Scotland squad in the April international break and thought that Grace would carry on training with West Ham during this period. However, Grace called up Lisa's parents and said that she wanted to come up to Scotland and surprise Lisa after the match. Grace had met her girlfriends parents but only when they had come down to London for club games and had never been up to Scotland.

Grace flew up to Glasgow on the day of the game and got picked up by Lisa's parents. Grace was very nervous as she hadn't really spent much time alone with them before and she really liked Lisa so didn't want to disappoint them. She also knew that Lisa dated Viv for 6 years before they dated so had big shoes to replace. The young blonde had taken the 7am flight up so it was still fairly early before the game and she hadn't really eaten so Lisa's parents took her for some breakfast. They had to be careful around Glasgow city centre as they didn't want to bump into anyone that would know that Grace was surprising Lisa.

They got some breakfast and a little walk around with the Evans asking Grace loads of questions about her. Grace thought it was going well and was asking all about Lisa's childhood and managed to get a few embarrassing photos of a young Lisa.

They headed to the game and took their seats and saw the team warm up. Lisa still didn't know that Grace was up in Scotland. The couple had called a little earlier and been messaging throughout the day but Lisa hadn't suspected anything - she just thought that Grace had a rest day and was going to watch the Scotland game on TV. All the teams family and friends were sitting in the same section and many of the players came over to see the their loved ones before the game. Lisa was towards the back of the group laughing about something with Emma Mitchell and hadn't seen Grace. All of the other Scottish players either were distracted by their own families or made sure not to say anything until Lisa had seen Grace. As Emma and Lisa approached the stand, Lisa looked up to see where her parents were sitting and noticed that Grace was sitting with them. As soon as she saw her girlfriend a big smile came across her face and started a little jog to the stand to them. Lisa's parents went down and had a little chat with their daughter before allowing her to have a few minutes with Grace. Lisa was so happy to see Grace and took her hands while they were talking and played with them. They talked about what they had done over the past few days and Grace's morning with her parents. Unfortunately they didn't have much time together and Lisa had to head off back into the changing room to get ready for the game.

Grace went back up to the seats and noticed that it was just Lisa's mum sitting there as her dad had gone to get some drinks before the game. As they were sitting there, Lisa's mum started to say how happy Lisa had been over the last few months and how much she spoke about Grace when she was on the phone with her parents. Lisa's mum knew that Grace was perfect for her daughter before she had come up to see the game but seeing the smile that was on Lisa's face when she realised Grace was at the game had confirmed it for her.

The game started and it was end to end. Lisa was playing really well and the three were enjoying the game. Scotland got a few goals with Lisa scoring 2 and assisting another. Grace was very happy as were Lisa's parents with the game. The players did a lap around the pitch and were signing autographs and taking photos with fans so they didn't really get to see their families. The 3 decided that it would be best to see Lisa that evening and allow her to enjoy being with the fans and then the cool down.

That evening, Lisa met up with her parents and Grace for some dinner. They met in the city centre before finding somewhere to eat. Lisa gave her parents a hug and asked how they were before giving Grace a hug. She went in to Grace and snuggled into her shoulder. They stood there holding each other for a minute before they went to get some dinner. After eating Lisa still had some time to kill before she had to be back at the hotel and it was in the city centre so didn't have to travel far to get back so Lisa's parents said that they would see her at the next game and went back to there hotel letting Lisa and Grace spend some time together. Lisa was excited to show Grace a little bit of Glasgow even if it was only a small amount of time and they couldn't do a whole lot that evening.

Grace dropped Lisa off back at the hotel and gave her a kiss and a hug before going back to the hotel she was staying at. She was up in Scotland for both matches and got to spend some more time with Lisa and her parents before heading back down to London for the rest of the season.
