It was a five years after Viv and Lisa had broken up. Nearly as long as they were together. Viv had been the one that had broken up with Lisa and moved fairly quickly on with Beth. The pair were still in contact but not as much as they used to be but still on good terms.

Lisa had moved on and started dating Grace Fisk when they were at West Ham together. It was hard for Lisa when Viv had broken off their relationship as she was considering asking the Dutch foreword to marry her. But she managed to find her way out and she found happiness with Grace. The Scot was now more in love than ever. Grace was still at Liverpool and now the captain. They had some successes over the years in the league and in Europe. Lisa had a few more seasons at West Ham where they managed to win the FA Cup. She retired and joined Liverpool as an assistant coach.

However, Beth and Viv's relationship lasted a couple years before they called it off. They were always fighting and weren't playing well together anymore on the pitch. The pressure of being such a high profile couple as well as being high profile players in their own right really played on their relationship. Viv was starting to miss the days with Lisa and looked back to her relationship with the Scot. She was the one to break things up over nothing in that relationship and felt the hurt that she could never get Lisa back.

Viv saw Lisa and Grace at the POTY awards and saw the how Grace made Lisa laugh and smile over something small and knew that she never gave that to Lisa. Her real love had moved on and found something so much more which hurt the Dutch deeply.
