Concussion

It was Scotland vs the Netherlands in a friendly game at Hamden Park, Glasgow. There were over 50,000 Scottish and Dutch fans cheering loudly. The game was end to end and either team could win it. Both Lisa and Viv were playing. It was the first time that they were playing against each other as a couple. It was a weird experience for them both. They had played together the weekend before with Arsenal and now they were playing against each other. They had had sex only a few nights before and now they had to forget about that as they were now opposition. It also happened to be a game were Lisa was playing centre defence and Viv was playing centre forward which meant that they were constantly tackling each other. Both players had there fair share of winning the ball.

It wasn't until the last minute of extra time, both teams were exhausted and the Dutch had a corner. Lisa had the task of marketing Viv for the last play of the game. Spitse kicked the ball into the box and both Lisa and Viv jumped for the ball but both missed and hit their heads together. Both fell down clutching their heads and screaming in pain. They had blood coming out of their foreheads and noses. The team doctors and medics came onto the pitch as the referee finished the game. Both got taken off separately and taken to the hospital to get treatment but they didn't know what happened to the other.

Their was a lot of confusion at the hospital when the separate doctors realised that they were a couple. Lisa had Viv down as her medical emergency contact and Viv had done the same with Lisa. Both had been taken to the hospital separately and were been treated by different doctors. Once both had CT scans to check for any head injuries the doctors allowed them to wait in the same hospital room while they waited for the results.

Both looked awful with some bruising coming through on the head and some blood still on their faces. Their beds were put next to each other but they still felt far from each other due to the barriers on the side of the beds. Viv reached out for Lisa's hand which was going to be the best bit of contact they were going to have for a little while. A little later the doctors came in and said that they both had minor concussion as well as a few cuts on their heads which had been sorted with some stitches but they were allowed to leave.

Both their mums had been at the game and came to check up on them. They ended up getting a lift back to Lisa's parents house from Lisa's mum. It was a fairly long journey and both were tired so they ended up falling asleep in the back of the car together. Lisa's head rested on Viv's shoulder as they cuddled up together.

Once they got to Lisa's parents house, their mums helped them get out of the car and into the house. They ended up sitting on the sofa but quickly fell asleep there as they were too tired to move to the bedroom. There parents left them there until morning as they realised that the couple would sleep anywhere if they were together.

The next morning the couple woke up still on the sofa and were both starving as they had not really had any proper food since before the game. They walked into the kitchen where they saw their parents chatting and Lisa's mum making some breakfast. Lisa and Viv were both quite quiet as they were still a bit confused from the concussion. They sat down next to each other and leaned on each other a little while holding hands under the table. They both knew that they would have to look after each other when they got back to London to make sure they got fully recovered together.

A couple days they went to lay down in their bed for a while. For the last few days there was always at least one parent in the was always one in the house to make sure they were fine. They were both still sore and tired but they went and lay down in bed and just relaxed. Lisa put on some TV show on her laptop and cuddled into Viv. By the time the parents had got home the couple were completely asleep with the TV show still playing and Lisa completely attached to Viv with her head on Viv's chest, arm around waist and their legs intertwined. They decided to just leave them until dinner was ready.
