"What the hell is that?!" Kankuro gasped as the earth rumbled. They were close to the border now and could feel the disturbance in the air.

Matsuri shivered and looked at the sky. "Do you think... that is near where Taryn-sama is?" she asked softly.

A concerned frown appeared on Kankuro's face. It was very likely, but there was little they could do about it. Even if they were to cross the border, they would never reach the site in time to be of use.

Next to him, Yuna was wringing he hands. "Hiro-kun," she whispered her little brother's name, "please be safe."

Dante looked at him. "Kankuro-sama, what should we do? I know Kazekage-sama ordered us to stay on our own territory, but what if they need help?"

"There's nothing we can do right now," Kankuro answered, "we'll never make it in time." He glanced at Hideki. The summon was eager to return to Kumiko. "Can you find them?" he asked.

The kitsune looked at him "I will find them," he confirmed.

Kankuro nodded. "Then go. Maybe you'll have better luck. Guide them back here where we will be waiting." He watched as the little kitsune tore off through the bushes towards the battlefield. "Good luck," he muttered. The summon was going to need it. A lot of it.

"Aw man!" Akira gritted his teeth as he looked sky high at the summon. "Now would be a good time for someone to summon something just as big! Anyone? Don't all summon at once now!"

"Ahahahahaha!!! Vile Snake! I never tire of clashing with you vermin!" The wild yet very familiar voice laughed out once again as it tackled into the snake and rolled further down the side of the crater, causing the fighting demons to fall back and avoid the newest commotion. "You dare threaten my dearest pup and her pack!"

"Zenko?!" Akira laughed as well.

"It's Zenko!" Suzume cheered in relief.

"Akio-sama!" Ichiro hollered, reaching the mix group of shinobi.

"Woah, the whole pack?" Akira blinked, "But how?" Hisayo sure hadn't summoned them.

"It was Myukyu, you balding human." Shun smirked, giving the boy the usual rough time.

"Gyah! Shun!"

"He feared the worse and called upon us." The grey wolf with blue eyes that was leader of the pack explained. "It was a strain to us all, but we managed to summon Zenko thanks to Hisayo's blood that binds all her summoning scrolls together."

"Hmm, no clue what that means, but we're happy to get the fire-guy's help." Akira was knocked over the head by Ken.

"Show Zenko-sama some respect. He's no ordinary summon."

"Gyah! I know that!" Akira turned his attention now to Orochimaru in the distance. "Heh, try stopping all of us now!"

Orochimaru glared at the group from atop his summon after the two became entangled in a newer battle for their lives. It appeared things would not go in his favor after all. "Do not hold back Manda!" He ordered.

"Wretched summoner! I will demand double the payment for this!" The dark snake summon threatened as he dodged from the fiery jaws of Zenko.

"Come," Akio regained the order as he took advantage of the surprise arrival of back-up. "before Orochimaru tries to intervene again."

For a moment Taryn only stared at the newcomers. So many wolves. So Myukyu had made it to Konoha after all. She smiled about that. She had wondered what had become of the little wolf. It was a relief to know he was safe.
