Anniversary Pt.2

Five had invited (y/n) to Griddy's, the place he confessed his love to her. He made sure it was the same table, same spot, same food and drinks as before. But now it was his turn to wait. He fiddled with the little box in his pocket. No, he wasn't gonna propose, although that thought crossed his mind a few times, he had something else in mind.

(y/n) walked through the door all dressed up, per five requests. As soon as he spotted her he stood up to greet her.

"Hello, darling." He said hugging her, she hugged back grinning, "Hi baby." She said.

They both took a seat exchanging pleasantries, (y/n) slid her bag next to her trying to make sure five didn't notice anything, so he won't spoil his gift. She knew Five didn't like surprises.

"You look lovely, darling." Five purred, making (y/n) blush. "As do you, love." She said giggling, to which Five smiled.

Sometimes went as they talked and ate like they usually would do. In the middle of eating Five clears his throat, grabbing (y/n)'s attention. She looked up confused as to what Five was planning.

"(Y/n), darling, I love you. I love you so much. Ever since I met you I've been intrigued by you, I didn't know how lucky I was at the time of meeting you." Five says, slowly bring the small box from his pocket to the tabletop. (Y/n) eyes widen at the box, she was feeling a mix of surprises and fear.

"(Y/n) I wanna be with you forever, and I know that sounds like a long shot but it's true... and I know we're technically too young to get married so..."

He brings the box to reveal an aesthetically pleasing silver ring that was shaped out to be a vine with a shiny jewel on top, nothing flashy but something that Five knew (y/n) would like.

"so... I got you this promise ring instead... and I have a matching one." He said finally bring up his right hand to show the other matching ring. (y/n) brings her hands up to her mouth to cover her face, she was in awe, once again Five was able to strike her speechless.

"Five... I don't know what to say... it's beautiful!" (Y/n) said gasping. She takes the ring out of the box and slips it on her finger, taking one last look at it before looking back at Five, grinning ear to ear.

"Five I wanna spend the rest of my life with you too, I love you. Thank you so much for the best anniversary ever." (y/n) said finally, making Five smiles.

"I love you so much (y/n)." He said as they gazed into each other's eyes.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" (Y/n) said surprised. "I got you a little something too." She winked as she dug through her bag.

"Aw baby you didn't have to get me anything..." Five said, "Nonsense it's our anniversary! I can't just not get you anything." (Y/n) was grinning widely as she slid the glass sheet out of her bag. Before she showed him (y/n) said, "So I saw this idea on Pinterest, people were doing it with their favorite like anime characters and stuff so I thought why don't I turn it around."

She then reveals a glass sheet that had a photo of them on the cover. Underneath it had said, "Five and (y/n) A line without a hook." It was their song. Five gazed down at the photo, it was his turn to be speechless.

"Do you like it?" (Y/n) asked anxiously. Five grabbed the glass looked at it for a little then looked back up at her smiling.

"Like it? I love it! Did you make this? It's incredible!" Five said laughing, making (y/n) smile.

"I'm so happy you like it! And yes I did make it."(y/n) said proudly.

"Well, it's amazing thank you! Thank you so much." Five said as he slowly put it down, making sure not to break it. He came around to her side of the booth and kissed her, to which she kissed back.

They can both agree it was the best anniversary they had ever had, and something tells me they'll have a lot more to come.
