Hiya Jean,

I really enjoy the choir so far. You’re right it’s a lot of fun! I have actually sung in a choir before in my old school. I always loved singing because.... in a way you can express emotions through it.

I have another passion as well. It’s acting. I like it for the same reason as singing.

I’m going to bed now.

Bye, Darin”

Dear Darin,

I don’t really know how to say this but... I think it’s a lot easier to write things than to actually tell things to someone in person. That’s why I’m writing you now that... I really love your singing. You’re so good at it. I wish I could sing as well as you do. Really!

You’re so right. Singing and acting are a good way to express emotions. But... I don’t know why I’m writing you this... but writing with you seems so easy like I could tell you everything. So what I wanted to tell you is that sometimes I am scared to act or sing in front of people even if there only a few people around. I just have this fear to embarrass myself and... You know what I mean?

See you later in school at the choir session.

Yours, Jean”

Dear Darin,

What did you think about choir today? Did you realise how nervous I was when we had to sing one of our duets in front of the whole group? And Mrs Kingston said that my emotions didn’t seem real. It was because of what I wrote you earlier in the other email. I really wanted to do it, to actually do it but I just couldn’t, you know?

I’m looking forward to read your next email.

Yours, Jean”
