Chapter 15

Writer's P.O.V

The one thing that Emma didn't know was that Neal (Emma's ex) never left, all he did was change his last name. He became part of the detective unit that Killian works for and they are friends, once Emma finds out it won't end well, Killian has no idea what's about to happen.

Emma's P.O.V (10:30am) saturday

I woke up to the smell of breakfast and I am so happy when that happens, I get up and go to the kitchen and Killian doesn't hear me so I put my arms around him and he jumps a little. "Hey, I didn't hear you come down," he says.

"I know," I say.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine"

"I know what you told me last night is hard for you and I understand if you don't want to talk about it yet, you don't have to tell me right now, you can tell me whenever you feel like you can" he says to me with love in his eyes.

"You're so sweet but I want to tell you and part of me feels like I have to tell you. One thing you do need to keep in mind is that I might break down and if I do I will push you away when you try to comfort me...I don't want you to feel hurt by that, just leave me be for a moment until I continue or reach out for you, okay?" I explain to him, hoping he will understand.

"Okay"

Flashback: 2 years earlier (7:00pm) Wednesday

I was just arriving at Neal's apartment after a long day of classes and a small shift at Roni's gill and bar, I was tired and I just wanted to surprise Neal for when he got home. I thought he was at work but then I heard a noise from the bedroom so I went to see if he was home early. What I saw was not what I expected or wanted to see...he was having sex with another woman. Neal heard me because I gasped when I saw them and in that moment I was afraid he would hurt me...I was more afraid of my life. The woman he was with left quickly and quietly and as soon as we heard the front door close he turned to me and asked "why the hell are you here?"

"I wanted to surprise you...I...what the hell is going on?" I asked him, scared of what he might do.

"I was having sex, why do you care?"

"Because I'm your girlfriend...I just caught you having sex with another woman, I thought you were at work"

"I was at work but then I left work to have sex, what are you going to do about it"

"I'm leaving you, I can't do this anymore" I tell him. I turn to leave and he grabs my wrist and started to twist "Neal let go you're hurting me"

"Oh, I'm hurting you...you are not leaving" he says pushing me to the ground and hovering over me with a death look in his eyes. He dragged me to the bedroom and tied my hands to each bedpost at the top of the bed and my feet to each bedpost at the bottom of the bed. "You're not gonna like this," he says.

End of flashback

I'm crying now unable to continue what I was saying, Killian looks worried but I hope he will be by my side no matter what.

(2:00pm)

I finally finished telling Killian everything Neal did to me, and when I was done Killian pulled me into his arms and let me cry into his shoulder. He picked me up bridal style and laid me down on the bed so I could get some sleep, he turned to leave but I stopped him. "Killian...can you stay with me?" I asked him.

"Of course Luv" he says as he gets in bed next to me.

Killian's P.O.V (2:00pm)

After Emma told me what her ex did to her, all I want to do is hunt him down and kill him. He raped, beat, and stabbed Emma only 2 years ago then today and he is still out there, I'm just glad she is not pushing me away and wanting me to stay with her. I love her so much and if anything happened to her I don't know what I would do. She is my life, my everything, and I will protect her no matter what, I don't know why anyone would want to hurt her, she is so sweet and kind. I can't imagine why anyone wants or would hurt her, Emma is asleep on my chest and she looks so peaceful and I can't see why any man in the world would hurt an angel like her.
