Ryle:
"What are you up to?" Alyssa asks her narrow eyes with concern.
"What I do isn't any of your business Alyssa." I smirk and shrug nonchalantly.
"You're not fit to be in a relationship, you know what happened with Lily-" she steps forward and I step back.
"Alyssa, like I said." I raise a hand to stop her. "None of your business."
"But-"
"She knows, everything." I add and she blinks at me.
"Then why is she....." She trails off and I scoff.
"Still with me? Still putting up with me?" I ask her and she flinches.
"Maybe I'm just that good at what I do." I resort to flashing her the cockiest smirk I could muster up. It feels good to have Alyssa speechless.
"She hasn't been through it Ryle. She wouldn't understand till it's to late.-" I cut her off.
"That's the thing Issa." I almost spit her name.
Even though I myself was trying to create distance between Alba and I, Alyssa's attempts are just pissing me off right now.
"She has been through it. She's still here." Another cocky smirk and Issa snaps.
"What is wrong with you?!" She crosses her arms furiously. "What are you acting so proud about?"
"Why are you so prickly!" I laugh at her and she doesn't take it well.
"Because you're being a prick!" Before I could fire back at her, Marshall runs out.
"Break it up!" He says rushing over to wrap his arms around Alyssa. My eyes snap back to the doorway as Alba and then Lily rush out together.
"What a perfect mess." I mutter and open my arms to her.
Lily looks between Alyssa and I, and then steps towards me. My heart drops and then my eyes catch on Alba as she strides past Lily and straight into my arms. I wrap her up and turn us away from the others.
Alba:
I rush into Ryle's arms and press my lips to his shoulder.
"I'm not leaving. Don't even try. I swear." I threaten and he chuckles.
It's a deep, pleased, and arrogant tone.
"Not a chance."
"Good." My narrowed eyes move from Alyssa and Marshall, to Lily who's watching us, standing frozen on the patio steps.
'F*** off.' I think closing my eyes and nuzzling closer. Then I turn red with shame. 'Gosh! I haven't sworn in ages! Pardon my potty mouth.'
"Let's go in." He says leading me past poor Marshall and a pissed off Alyssa.
We walk in to find Lily standing at the edge of the kitchen with Emmy on her hip.
