"Okay, ready?" Ryle smiles up at me.

He reaches up for me, where I sit on the higher level at the edge of the rink.

My feet are a mere few inches off of the ice.

"I'm so ready." I grin and take his hands, pushing myself to the very edge.

"Alright then, on your feet." He instructs and I push myself off of the ledge my stomach tickling.

My skates hit the ice and I love the sound. It reminds me of hockey.

"Gosh this is amazing." I wonder aloud gently moving my blades against the ice, causing friction.

"Is it your first time even trying?" He asks incredulously his hands wrapping around my waist.

"Yeah." I grin up at him and he stares down at me.

"Then let's make it memorable." Ryle winks and my heart stutters.

"Alright, let's do this." I stumble forward and against him. "Just don't let me go, at least not till I'm ready."

"I would never." Ryle says pressing his lips to my temple. He swiftly pulls me forward and I let him pull me deeper into the rink.

"This is so scary." I mumble staring down at my feet.

"Look up." He says and I ignore him trying to concentrate.

"Al I said look up! Now!" He suddenly says with so much urgency that my head snaps up.

The moment my eyes meet his, the sun peeks out from behind heavy clouds, bathing us with light. It's as though the sun had spilled into him, setting his hair ablaze and filling his eyes with a molten glow.

"Wow." The word quietly slips from my mouth and he smiles down at me.

"It got really cloudy, this is the only bit of sunlight we'll be getting for the rest of the day." He explains and I grin up at him.

"Now look behind me." He says and together the two of us look over his shoulder and my lips part in shock

.The water behind him is completely lit up, like a sea of rippling light.

"Incredible." I whisper to myself subconsciously and he turns to face me.

"I knew you'd want to see it." Ryle says and the big, dark and heavy clouds swallow up the sun again.

The crowd around us seems to sigh and I realize we weren't the only one's who'd noticed.

"That was so great." I nod my head and slide back some to get back to skating.

"Alright, back to the task at hand." Ryle says. He explains to me as he pulls me around the rink, completing our first round.

"I think I got it." I say, still unsure.

"Great, let's let go then." Ryle says loosening his hold on me and I freak out.

"Ryle! I can't! I swear, don't!" I shriek and he snickers evilly, barely grasping onto my fingers.
