Chapter 26

I woke up by the sound of Rays voice it sounded like he was talking on the phone. But he was yelling at the person on the other end. I slowly opened my eyes and seen Ray sitting in his chair with his phone up against his ear. I let out a yawn noticing that there was a blanket over me and a pillow under my head. Also that I'm still in the man cave. I wonder how my parents are doing?

"No!" Ray yelled at the person on the other end. Ray sounded very serious with this. "You could have killed her! I'm not giving you her after what happened last time. " Ray said as Kelly walked out of the lab wearing pink pjs with her hair in a bun. Kelly noticed me and I put my finger on my lip telling her to be quiet. She nodded and looked over at Ray.

"I don't care if you changed! She was only three years old and you could have killed her. I don't even trust you with her for a minute," Ray said furiously pressing buttons on the desk, "you almost made Bella and I get a divorce when you did that! I don't care if that was 12 years ago after you did that Bella and I got in a huge fight. Years later we ended up getting a divorce to keep Annabel safe." Ray said as Kelly and I quickly met each others gazes.

"I'm not going to tell you how the fight ended," Ray said, " no there was no blood." Kelly walked over to me with out Ray noticing her. Then she whispered in my ear.

"Who is he talking to?" I shrugged as Ray screamed.

"I don't care your never going to see her ever again! They should have kept you in jail until you died!" Ray pressed end call and slammed his phone on the desk. Kelly's eyes widened as we looked at each other. Ray put his face in his hands as Kelly asked.

"Um Ray?" Ray quickly lifted his head out of his hands and seeing Kelly and I staring at him.

"Yeah?"

"Who were you talking to?" I asked but Ray shook his head.

"I don't want to talk about it right now. " Ray said sounding extremely mad while crossing his arms. Kelly and I nodded as I got up and walked over to Ray.

"What time is it?" I asked and Ray shrugged.

"I don't know but your parents are probably very worried by now," Ray said grabbing his phone and turning it on then showed me the time. 1:00pm, "I'll drive you to your house. " Ray added putting his phone back in his pocket and getting up. He walked over to Kelly and put his hand out.

"Where are your car keys?" Ray asked Kelly.

"Um no," Kelly said crossing her arms, "you are not driving my car. " Ray rolled his eyes then they stared at each other looking straight in the eyes. A few minutes later Kelly finally gave in.

"Fine...but if you put a dent in my car or you do something to it your paying for the repairs. " Kelly said grabbing her purse and searching through it.

"I won't ruin your car." Ray said as Kelly gave him the keys and we walked into the elevator.

"Women these days." Ray said as we shot up and reached the first floor. When we got into Kelly's car we both put are seat belts on and Ray started the car. I couldn't help it I had to know who was on the phone.

"Who was on the phone? You must hate that person cause you were screaming." I said and Ray sighed.

"Henry it's a lot of explaining and I don't want to talk about it. " Ray said as we pulled out of the parking lot.

"But you said Annabel's name." I said while we were driving down a road.

"Henry..."

"Please." I begged as we turned a corner.
