Chapter 25

~◆~Henry's Pov~◆~

"Ah. . .yes, I remember now. It was when you said you wanted to ask her out," Ray said as we pull out of the parking lot of the hospital, "Okay Henry the thing is. This really isn't the right time for Annabel to have a boyfriend. Mostly because she has been through a lot and is still going through a lot. Annabel got kidnapped almost shot, her mother died, we both just done facing a car chase and a car crash, she almost fell off a cliff, and she is also in the hospital. Not only that but there are four men after Annabel and there not going to stop trying to get Annabel until they have her. Also Annabel has post-traumatic stress disorder from the car crash."

"Plus she has school. She has already missed one or two weeks of school because of all this. She'll be missing a few more weeks of school cause she is in the hospital," Ray babbles on for what seemed like forever while stopping at a stop sign, "I just don't think right now is a very good time for Annabel to be in a relationship with anyone. Do you understand?" Ray questions keeping his eyes locked on the road as the light turned green and he starts to drive off again.

"The nurse also told me that Annabel was very lucky not to get a concussion after that. She was lucky she didn't die from the air bags or her head smashing into the window." 

"You're probably tired aren't you?" Ray questions as we get closer to the store. 

"Well, yeah I mean I haven't got any sleep since this morning at nine o'clock and it's four in the morning." I said pointing to the time. Ray nodded.

"You need sleep Henry, and your parents are probably worried."

"I told them I was working a night shift."

"Wait, what are we doing here? Aren't you going to take me home?" I question when we pull up to the store but he shakes his head. 

"I want you to meet Kelly." Ray urges opening the door to Junk N Stuff.

When I found my balance after falling through the elevator, the doors open I see a girl laying on the couch with a phone in her hand. She has light brown hair wearing blue jeans, a light red long sleeve shirt with a skull on it, purple glasses and laying with her head under a purple pillow.

"Well, look who came crawling back. Did you finally become a man?" The girl who I think is Kelly laughs putting her phone down on her stomach.

"I'm not crawling back I'm simply just walking." Ray argues slapping his hands together as he walks out of the elevator. I follow him until the girl meets my gaze, her eye brow raised while turning her phone off.

"Hello?"

"Oh yeah! Sorry. Kelly this is Henry my sidekick, Henry this is Kelly the girl I was talking about." Ray turned around and went to sit down in his chair. "Kelly you have to swear that you won't tell anyone about Henry being Kid Danger-"

Kelly literally glares at him, sending daggers at him when she sasses. "Why would I tell? Do you not remember me keeping the secret of you being Captain Man? If I can keep that a secret than you sure can trust me to keep Kid Dangers identity." 

"So. . . .Ray says your probably going to help us out?" I ask, switching the topic before they start to rip each others heads off. Kelly nods, getting up and walks over to Ray who has his eyes closed. 

~◆~Rays Pov~◆~

"How's Annabel? Is she okay?" Kelly ask questions sitting on the desk not hitting any of my buttons. I shook my head.

"Annabel is in the hospital has post-traumatic stress disorder and her head is busted open. She has cuts all over her body. The nurse told me that she was very lucky to not get a concussion or be killed by the air bags. Also I just found this out but Henry has a crush on Annabel." I whisper the last part to Kelly as I looked over at Henry, seeing that his eyes were closed, peacefully sleeping. Her eyes widen trying not to laugh. I quickly look over at her to find her about to burst out laughing.

"How bad is it?" She giggles.

"Well he gave her a bouquet of roses and a huge pink teddy bear with balloons that said "get well soon"."

"And you're perfectly fine with him having a huge crush on Annabel?" Kelly asked as I glanced back at Henry.

"I'm not happy about it, but I knew this day would come. I just didn't think it would be this soon. " I said getting up out of the chair and walking into my room. Followed by Kelly who wouldn't stop asking questions.

"But their only fifteen I think. . .right?" I hear Kelly ask as I open my closet and found a pillow with a warm blanket.

"Henry and I had a talk about it in the van." I grab the pillow and the blanket as I close the closet.

"But what if he hurts Annabel?" Kelly asked as we both walked out into the main room. I turned around to face her while saying.

"Henry wouldn't hurt Annabel, trust me." I said gently putting my hand under Henry's head and lifting it up. Then putting the pillow under his head and then covering him up with the blanket. I look at his sleeping figure and sigh when Kelly ask. 

"So what if you have to give Annabel to someone? Who would you give her to?"

"Well, I know I wouldn't give her to you. "
