Pushing the door up I crawled up and over the floorboards. Any other landlord would be furious but luckily mine hardly cared as I payed him monthly on time.
The dark twilight sky filling my bedroom. Walking toward the bathroom to wash up quickly.
I chose to where a dark teal sweater with a pair of tore up blue skinny jeans. Brushing out the chestnut waves in hair that constantly knotted up. Applying light make up to amplify the my light shade of blue eyes.
I wasn't starving so I decided to go to the book shop early. Walking out of my apartment into the busy crowd. Halloween decorations decorated the building I past. Little children eager with Halloween being tomorrow.
Opening the book shop's door, I was confused not to hear William's usual greet. But decided he must be in the back room. The waft of delicious scent filled my senses but I ignored it with a hard swallow. I may be hungrier than I thought.
My eyes skimmed the isles of books. Landing on an interesting and finding my favorite secluded chair.
Opening the book, I left my mind get lost in the pages.
Maybe a half hour had passed and I already know the boyfriend is the killer. Far too perfect. There's no such thing as perfect. He definitely is going to kill his girlfriend.
"Enjoying the book?" A voice came up beside me suddenly.
My eyes shot up to the figure matching the gruff voice.
I was taken back, first by his scent. It was like I had just walked in to a bakery as his sweet blood made my throat feel like it was lit on fire. My mouth dry as I tried to hold composure.
My destined.
Mine.
The word was quick but it screamed in the back of my head. I shook the thought away quickly.
No, not this breakable human. They're too fragile. Vampire and human relationships were rare. Ending in either heartbreak or turning their partner. Which would be like training a puppy with an insatiable hunger.
"Um. Yes." Biting out without taking in unnecessary breath. Breathing was just part of the act, to blend in.
I felt like I was was going to pounce on him any second and drain him dry. His chiseled jaw covered with a light beard. His nose, slightly crooked, maybe from a fight? His light amber eyes with flecks of green held me captive as he ran is large hand through his dark pin straight hair that fell just over his eyes.
He cocked his head to the side, confusion maybe?
"Oh, um. Good" He replied awkwardly. Shoving his hands into his jean pockets.
"It's predictable though" Spitting out with a smirk as I stood up.
His enticing eyes pulled together before looking to the book in my hands as I started toward the isle I had found it.
"That books a favorite. Never heard someone call it predictable" Crossing his arms casually.
"Says who?" Challenging him. "Never seen you here before. I'm sure William, the owner would agree with me over a random walk in" Lifting a brow before walking down the isle. Keeping myself from all unnecessary breathing. I could feel myself listening far too closely to his heart beat. Maybe I could get him to follow me outside? Somewhere with no witnesses? The thought of his warm blood filling my throat made want to yank him out of this building. Which would be easy.
