***A picture of Damien above***

***Damien's POV***

Victoria's body was completely still.  No breathing, no soft snores.  Just her angelic peaceful features completely at rest.

I had slept for a while, but I couldn't fall back asleep, glancing down at my phone. It was just after 5pm.  She' probably wake soon.  Inching closer, taking in every detail of her face.  It made sense she wasn't human, her features were unearthly.

Chocolate waves of her hair haloed her face.  Her pouty lips jutted out ever so slightly.  Round pale cheeks.  Her skin looked as if she had never see the light of day.  Which, I guess is true. Looking down further, letting out a shaky breath as I gazed down at her chest.  Full, definitely more than a handful that seemed to be fighting to stay within her low cut shirt.  Her stomach was soft with curves.  Legs covered by black leggings that hugged her hips.  She was so small next to me though.  I had stood a foot over her easily.

I knew how crazy it was to stay down in this hole with her.  But I couldn't force myself to leave.  The second I saw her, I needed to be near her.  Something I couldn't explain pulled me into her orbit.  But here I was, laying next to this eye capturing girl.  But within those pair of full lips was something deadly.

I repeated to myself to get out. Run.  Get as far away as you can.  She's dangerous.

But I can't.

"Are you done?" Her soft voice whispered.

My eyes shot back to her face, eyes still closed.  But a smirk twitching at the corners of her mouth.  Heat raised to my face being caught staring.  How did she know?

"It should be dark soon.  I've heard Trick-or treaters knocking on doors" Changing the topic quickly.

Her eyes opened slowly. Her blue eyes seemed to almost glow in the dark. She sat up slowly, her nose raised in the air.  She inhaled deeply, what was she smelling.  She went rigid suddenly.  Her once calm features somehow changing harsh, her mouth twitched with anger.

"Stay here" She bit out under her breath

Raising my.  "Why?" Her cool hand went over my mouth with more force than I could imagine.  But I listened to her words.

She pushed the hatch door open and climbed out with ease.

"Just stay.  Do not come out until I say so"  Speaking so quietly, I wasn't sure I heard her correct.  Leaning over the hole as I sat up confused. She closed the hatch slowly, her glowing eyes apologetic for half a second before closing the hatch.

***Victoria's POV***

Fuck.  He was here.  And close.  Possibly in the apartment.  I knew Damien wanted answers but he would have to wait.  Straightening my back, pulling my hair messily into a bun.  I masked any feelings that could be perceived.

Opening the closet doors slowly. I need see anyone but I could smell him, his damp musk could be smelled a mile away.  My stomach churned as I closed the doors behind me.  Begging that Damien would listen to my words.

Following the scent, it lead me to the balcony.  Pulling back the thick curtains and door, I choked back a gasp as I met a pair of sickly green eyes.

"Oh my dear Victoria, it's been too long" Claude's friendly tone pierced my ears as I stared back at him.

Snarling at him as I hunched forward "Leave.  Now"
