Maribell had a promising life ahead of her, and a family that loved her. She didn't realize how much she took for granted until she lost her life. A/N: This story was inspired by a true event that occurred near where I live. A woman (who had kids and a husband) had lost her life. This initially started a spiral of thoughts leading to the creation of this story. There are a lot of mirroring qualities between my life and Maribell's, but unlike the lovely woman who had passed (I personally don't know her, but may she rest in peace), I don't have kids or a significant other, so I had to put my own spin on things. I also added in texting and driving, because the combination is unsafe. May you find this story to be as eye opening as I did when I wrote it! Comments and votes are welcomed and encouraged. The leaving. It was hard, tragic , painful, yet it had to be done, I needed to save my life. I didn't want to start again, this would be the story of finding myself, pulling myself back together, reuniting the happy go lucky youngster I had once been. The shock of leaving took more of a toll on me than I thought it would. I had asked two people to help me move out of the house I had shared with my partner for 8 years, we had been together 23 years in total. The move was done in total secrecy, my partner could never know in advance, it was a very scary time. I had moved various things out of the house and secured a rent on a property nearby. The house I picked was near the School the children went to, and my oldest lad was going to be near his best friend.
