Amidst the ongoing Hundred Year War, Toph Beifong didn't concern herself with the violence, injustice, and chaos of the outside world. She had other things on her mind. She grew up shielded from the world without friends, surrounded only by a rotation of security guards in a house large enough to get lost in. With overprotective parents who treated her like the thinnest glass, she seemingly had no one on her side before she left home to join the avatar team. Which is true. But not quite. She had someone. A girl who became her role model. That was her idol, the person who showed toph to be confident and courageous. But she left Gaoling before toph left with the gaang. And her side quests became to find her.
