"Mrs. Moore, do you plead guilty or not guilty"

"What the fuck?! Not guilty!" I groaned sitting up in my seat. I don't even remember how I got here. My appointed lawyer put her hand over mine trying to calm me down. I snatched away.

"Are y'all not hearing me?! I dont know shit about shit! I was in school!" I yelled frustrated.

"Speaking of school" a big book boomed coming in contact with the judges desk. Dust went flying in the air. "This is a book of all your tardies and absences"

"But I was in school that day!"

" and how will you prove that?" He glared his glasses set low on his face.

All of a sudden Mrs. Houston was on the witness stand.

She shook her head in disapproval. "You're worth more then sex Zion." She said looking disappointed.

"Tell them! Tell them I ain't do that shit!" I yelled out desperately.

Next thing I know my heart was pumping out of my chest I sat up in my bed breathing heavy as fuck, just to see bars in front of me.

I gasped sitting up. I woke up in a pool of my sweat. My alarm was loud as fuck. I turned it off. Damn, I don't wanna wake up Nique. It's a Saturday and she gonna ask hell questions, and wanna go where I go.

I quietly got my clothes on and threw my bag over my shoulder before heading out of the room. After I closed the room door I crouched down putting on my shoes.

"Z?" I looked up. Princess was standing in the hallway rubbing her eyes.

"Yes ma'am?" I huffed

"what you doing up? It's too early in the morning."

I chuckled. To be a 5 year old this girl swear she run shit.

I stood up after putting my shoes all the way on, "that's exactly why you need to be in bed." I chuckled. I picked her up heading back to the room she and Jayda share.

"Where are you going tho?" She asked as I carried her.

"Hey, you never ask a grown up where their going."

"But you're not a grown up." She pouted slightly confused.

"I am, I'm 18 now. I'm big and grown."

"So when I turn 18 I'll be a grown up?"

I chuckled. "Yeah"

"Well when I'm 18 imma tell you, you can't ask me either"

I laughed shaking my head. This girl is a handful.

"See you later." I said heading out.

When I left their room I swear I saw my room door close quickly.

I peaked my head in to check. No, nothing weird Nique was still sleep, everything was where I left it.

I took an Uber to the hotel Keisha books for us every weekend.

When I came in she was laid out on the bed dramatically in a silky robe scrolling on her phone.

"Hey baby" she smiled.

I forced a smile on my face. "Missed me?" I asked taking off my jacket and shoes. She sat up like she expected more but I walked right pass her, into the bathroom. Ain't no way imma skip showering after all that sweating I did last night. The parts of my dream I could remember replayed in my head. I know ain't shit happen for real, but my fear was real. I could feel the fear creeping up on me again as the water hit me.
