During Class:

They never brought up that incident luckily so I practically forgot about it, well almost. It's now June and we've been preparing for the Interhigh prelims in the club.

My parents left in April yet again before the match against Karasuno but they're back since it's now June.

I've been coming to school with injuries sadly, Iwaizumi and Oikawa have been noticing this, and try to confront me every so often. I always wave it off, calling it clumsiness. This time, however, I came to school with a bruise on the back of my (dominant) hand. So when I'm sketching like I usually do before class, and since I'm (dominant)-handed, it's pretty visible.

Iwaizumi heads to his seat next to mine and taps me on the bruise, causing me to wince. "Ow..." I grumble and close my sketchbook, praying he didn't see any of the sketches. "How'd you get that nasty bruise?" Iwaizumi asks as I put my sketchbook and headphones in my backpack. "I'm clumsy, what can I say." I mumble as I silence my phone and turn to face him.

"You didn't come to school with a bunch of injuries in April and May." Iwaizumi says, narrowing his eyes at me. "I did in a bit of April." I argue, avoiding the topic. He's about to say something but the teacher comes in.

At Lunch:

I decide to eat outside today, so after going to my locker and swapping out what I'll need for my next classes, I head outside. It's pretty crowded in some areas, but I find it's pretty empty near the boy's volleyball gym. I decide to sit against the wall, a decent distance from the door of the gym.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath, taking in this relaxing moment. I open my eyes, take my lunch out of my bag, and open up my bento box, "Itadakimasu," I mumble as I start stuffing my face, swaying my head to the music playing in my headphones.

After a few minutes, I finish eating so I mumble, "Gochisosama," and take out my sketchbook. I look up at the sky hoping to get some inspiration from the clouds, but to no avail.

I sense eyes on me and turn my head to the left, I spot Iwaizumi and Oikawa coming towards me. I narrow my eyes at them suspiciously because of the questions they've been constantly asked me recently. 'Kuroo and Kenma cornered me during lunch, why wouldn't they.' I think as I close my sketchbook back u

"(N/n)-Chan! How are you doing today?" Oikawa says as he sits next to me. I stare at him suspiciously and then shrug. "Hi, (Y/n)-Chan." Iwaizumi mumbles as he sits next to Oikawa.

"What do you two want?" I question skeptically, Iwaizumi and Oikawa share a look. "What aren't you telling us?" Iwaizumi asks. "We've known each other for two months." I scoff. "So..?" Oikawa asks, obviously wanting to know more about me. "A lot." I say blankly as I pass him my sketchbook.

I make sure we aren't touching, Iwaizumi notices and tilts his head. I see him open his mouth, but I interrupt him. "I will share this, but that's all I'm willing to share right now," I say nervously. "I'm insecure about my drawings." I mumble with an embarrassed blush on my face. "So that's why you always close it when I sit down." Iwaizumi comments and I nod.

Oikawa opens it to the introduction page. "(Y/n)'s Sketchbook. Don't continue unless given permission." Oikawa mumbles and looks at me confused. "What are you waiting for, I explained I'm insecure right?" I say gesturing to him to continue, so he does. The pages consist of random objects to people. I've drawn people on the volleyball team before, especially them.

"You've drawn us at least three times." Iwaizumi mumbles and I laugh nervously. "Yeah, I draw whenever I get inspiration from things and it just so happens I get more inspiration from drawing you two than the others on the team." I say dismissively. "And you've drawn these two a lot too," Oikawa mumbles after turning to yet another page, where I drew both Kenma and Kuroo. "They were the first real friends I ever made okay!" I huff as I watch the passing clouds. "What do you mean?" Iwaizumi asks.

"Before those two, I tried three times, to make friends with three different girls," I say, looking down at the ground and laughing off the urge to cry. "All three of them either used me for entertainment, for my money, or for my mind," I mumble. Taking in a deep breath, I exhale my sadness.

"In fifth grade, those two boys talked to me and persisted until we became friends." I mumble as I pull up a photo from fifth grade. I was frowning, Kuroo was smiling and giving both me and Kenma bunny ears, and Kenma was staring blankly at the camera.

Oikawa laughs when he sees the picture and Iwaizumi chuckles. "Why were you frowning?" Iwaizumi asks and I sigh. "He forced me into a picture I didn't want to take by taking my phone," I say with a pout.

"What else will you share with us?!" Oikawa says in a pleading tone, stars in his eyes. "Can you destroy your curiosity?" I grumble as I close my phone back up.

"Oikawa-Kun doesn't like being left in the dark about anything." Iwaizumi comments as I look up at the sky. "How about your soulmate? Have you found them yet?" Oikawa asks, causing my eyes to widen. I look back at him with wide eyes, he tilts his head at my reaction.

"Define find." I say, chuckling nervously. "Can we see your tattoo?" Oikawa asks with puppy dog eyes. "Nope!" I say getting up really quickly and putting everything in my backpack. "(Y/n)-" I interrupt Iwaizumi, "If you'd excuse me I promised to meet with (Bff/n/n)-Chan before lunch is over," I say and head back into the school. Both boys look at each other confused.

"Do you think she knows who her soulmate is?" Oikawa mumbles to Iwaizumi who nods. "I think she doesn't want them to know, meaning they haven't touched yet." Iwaizumi says, eyeing Oikawa out of the corner of his eye.

'I can't believe I used (Bff/n/n) as an excuse...Hopefully, she doesn't tell them.' I think as I walk into the girl's bathroom to wash my face off.

At Club:

I have my headphones in almost the entirety of practice. I only take them off when either the coaches are talking or when I'm talking to one of the players. Because of this, throughout practice I was highly distracted, catching the attention of not just the players, but the coaches.

"Hey, (L/n) are you okay? You seem pretty distracted." Mizoguchi asks. Irihiata speaks up as well, "From the months you've been here, you haven't gotten unfocused during practice." I flinch, breaking from my trance. "O-oh, sorry." I mumble as I shake my head, trying to ignore the thoughts in my brain.

"What's got you so tense?" Iwaizumi asks during break. I shrug as I finish picking up the last stray ball, next to him. "Is it about Interhigh prelims?" Oikawa asks, butting into our conversation. I shake my head, "Actually that's barely been on my mind." I mumble as I put a hand to my forehead. "Am I getting sick..?" I mutter to myself and sigh.

"Well what's been on your mind? Maybe we can help!" Hanamaki says and Matsukawa nods in agreement. I shake my head and furrow my brows. "That's the thing, I can't tell which thing is the problem." I grumble in irritation. "Then tell us everything that's been on your mind!" Oikawa says with a bright smile. I scoff, "And why would I do that?" I say, crossing my arms over my chest.

"It might relieve some stress." Matsukawa mumbles and I shrug. "I'll talk to someone else about it then." I say as my mind starts wandering again. "WAH (N/N)-CHAN HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT!" Oikawa whines, I'm already distracted though.

"...(Y/n)-Chan?" Iwaizumi mumbles, ignoring Oikawa. I break out of my trance and give him a wry smile. "Yeah?" He furrows his brows at my face. "What really has been up with you lately?" I freeze at his question. 'What has been...' I give him a conflicted smile. "I'll tell you the answer when I figure that out. That's a good question after all!" I say, laughing off the boys' confused faces.

The coaches round everyone up to talk to us about what I presume is the Interhigh Preliminaries. "The Interhigh prelims are in two days so I hope everyone is prepared!" Mizoguchi says and Irihata turns to me. "Do you think they're ready?" He whispers and I furrow my brows, this question instantly clears my mind.

"One hundred percent." I say with a bright smile. "I think I have a strategy planned out for our last practice tomorrow." I say with a smile. "Oh, she's back!" Irihata says with a hefty laugh. "Alright let's hear it." Mizoguchi says, giving me the floor. "Alright, so this may help with things in the matches we'll be dealing with."
