Chapter 10: Studio Ghibli Losses

A/N: Totally not going to use a bunch of Ponyo/My Neighbor Totoro/Studio Ghibli references in this chapter...😗 Okay, I am but that's not the point.

This chapter is going to have a lot to fo with Studio Ghibli because it just has to. I put this here mainly for a~

TW - Cutting, dried blood, mentions of abuse. It gets worse starting in this chapter. Also, this should be obvious but, this isn't sponsored.

Aoba Johsai Loses:

Oikawa ended up being right. I was out of school and never got to go see who'd win, or go to Hinata's birthday, June 21st. 'If they beat the first match today, which they will! They will be going up against Shiratorizawa.' I think and then my brain blanks as I start coughing until I have to run to the bathroom.

I got back to my bed and realized I was out of water and haven't eaten since last night. 'It's almost been twenty-four hours since I ate something.' I think and grumble to myself as I walk down the stairs, a bunch of blankets behind me being dragged on the floor. I end up plopping on the couch before heading to the kitchen, already exhausted again.

"How about I just don't take care of myself." I mumble as I get up and get a glass of water and start the tea kettle. As I plop down on the couch and down my water, I put on Ponyo. As soon as the title screen pops up a bunch of knocks sound at my door, causing me to be confused. 'Nobody knocks on my door, ever.' I think as I slowly and groggily get up, putting on a cat hoodie my cousin bought me.

A/N: No I do not give you an option ^^

I peek through the peephole to see Oikawa and Iwaizumi, but they don't seem like themselves. 'They lost to Shiratorizawa.' I think and open my door, coughing into my hands as soon as I open it.

"You guys lost didn't you..." I say wryly and let them in. Iwaizumi nods as Oikawa just looks lost. "You came at the right time, I just started the kettle," I say, coughing again. "Your house looks surprisingly clean." Iwaizumi mumbles and I laugh nervously. "I may or may not have just gotten up since I went to bed last night." I say as I plop onto a third of the couch and cover myself with the blankets.

"That's not healthy." Oikawa mumbles and I shrug. "Meh, you guys weren't being healthy, the weather outside sucks, it's literally raining! And you guys weren't even wearing your coats properly." I huff as I toss them both towels to somewhat dry off. "Thanks." Iwaizumi mumbles and Oikawa shrugs.

I finish downing my glass of water then head to the kitchen. 'I can't let them see the basement or the attic, everywhere else SHOULD be fine. If I'm correct that is.' I think as I look for something to eat. "C'mon I bought ham yesterday, I didn't-" I spot the ham and smile brightly as Ponyo's voice pops into my head. "HAAMMM!" I shout and start giggling until I start coughing.

Iwaizumi comes into the kitchen with narrowed eyes. "Seriously why do you do this all the time." He mumbles and I look at him with a smile as I cough before replying. "I dunno!" I say happily as I go around my kitchen with a random boost of energy thanks to Ponyo.

"I'm about to go on a Studio Ghibli binge if you guys want to join me, otherwise you can go up to my room, there's a gaming console in there." I say as I gather all my ingredients and then start coughing. "Are you sure you can take care of yourself in this condition?" Oikawa says as I sit on the floor until my death subsides.

"I've done this so many times, I taught myself how to cook this dish when I was three! I think I can make my favorite Ponyo dish while I'm sick if I could do it when I was three all on my lonesome." I grumble as I slowly get up, a little dizzy now. Iwaizumi comes over and helps me up.
