Chapter 6: The Match

The Day of the Match:

I skip to school with excitement as I hum to my music. I smile brightly as I realize three things, 'I get to see Koshi, (Bff/n) gets to see Koshi, and I GET TO SEE VOLLEYBALL!' I squeal as I practically run to school.

I make it to the street the boys' houses are on faster than normal because they're nowhere in sight. "I could wait....but I CAN'T!" I whine in anticipation as I decide to just continue 'walking' to school. As soon as I start walking however I hear someone call my name causing me to sigh and stop.

I'm hopping between each leg as I turn around to see Iwaizumi and Oikawa. "You're out pretty early." Iwaizumi comments and Oikawa starts whining. "You were about to walk to school without us weren't you!?" I laugh as I continue hopping between legs while humming.

"What's got you so energetic this morning?" Iwaizumi asks, tilting his head. "Don't you dislike singing, let alone humming around people? You always seem to stop when you notice us." Iwaizumi mumbles and I laugh awkwardly. "Well yeah, I'm insecure about my voice in general." I say shrugging as my energy goes down a tad bit.

"Well, I think your humming is great!" Oikawa says making me smile a little. "Right Iwa-Chan?" Oikawa asks, turning to him. "Yeah it lightens the mood, you should do it more often." Iwaizumi mumbles and I go back to being energetic. "Awe thank you!" I say happily. "I don't believe you but thanks!" I say laughing as they shake their heads at my stubbornness.

"Anyways, to answer your questions," I start as I skip along the street, a few feet ahead of the boys. "There are three reasons!" I say turning around and walking backwards so I can look at the boys' curious expressions. I turn back around and run ahead of them then run back to them, causing Iwaizumi to laugh.

"Well, what are they?" Oikawa asks as curiosity burns in his eyes. "I get to see Koshi!" I say, throwing my hands up into the air as I stop again, turning to the boys. "Oh yeah, your cousin is on Karasuno's team right?" Iwaizumi asks, tilting his head. "Yep!" I say excitedly.

"What else?" Oikawa asks as curiosity continues to burn in his chocolate orbs. "Well, you see I think his soulmate goes here!" I say as I pull up a picture of (Bff/n) on my phone. "But every girl here likes Flattykawa, apart from you." Iwaizumi grumbles and I laugh.

"You forgot about (Bff/n/n)-Chan, she's in his class." I say, showing them a picture of her and Oikawa pouts. "Why doesn't she like me?!" He whines. "It's not that she doesn't like you, it's that she doesn't like crowds or people believed to be players. Although she'd probably give you a chance quicker than I would." I say, shrugging as sparkles grow in my eyes.

"And I can't forget the most important reason I'm happy right now!" I say with excitement as we walk through the school gates."What's that reason?" Iwaizumi asks as I turn to them. "I get to watch a volleyball match!" I say tossing my hands into the air as if I'm setting. "I haven't seen one since last year!" I say with excitement.

"I could never go to their real matches though, and I know this one isn't real, but still!" I say with a bright smile. "Wow you really love volleyball.'' Oikawa mumbles as thinks back to his first year in middle school. 

Oikawa's Head/His POV in the Past:

"Iwa-Chan my tattoo looks funny look at it!" I whine as I show Iwaizumi my tattoo. "It's just changing Shittykawa." Iwaizumi mumbles and I make a sound of confusion.

I watch the center of the tattoo as a volleyball suddenly appears with the other items. "WOAH! They love volleyball now?" I say as I tilt my head. "Well that's a good thing isn't it?" Iwaizumi asks, shrugging. "I guess." I mumble as I go into my thoughts.

That Same Moment (Y/N)'s POV:

"Wow Kuroo you were right this is really fun! Sorry for hitting you in the face with a ball..." I mumble with a laugh. Kuroo gives me a bright smile as he holds the ice pack to his forehead. "Hey, it isn't your fault! I was distracted by your amazing skills!" Kuroo exclaimed with a smile.

I look at him with a small smile and then Kenma appears out of nowhere with a mischievous smirk. "A video I made already has a million views and I posted it seven minutes ago!" He says as he eyes me with a knowing look. I instantly understand and start cackling.

Kuroo looks at us with a confused expression until Kenma shows him the video. The video is him teaching me how to recieve.

"KENMA! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!" Kuroo whined as Kenma and I started laughing our asses off. "GUYS ARE YOU LISTENING?!" We obviously weren't. Kenma and I didn't hear what he said, we just continued to laugh and tease him about it the rest of the day.

Back in the Present: (Y/n)'s POV:

"Oikawa-San!?" I shout as I wave my hand in his face to catch his attention. "Huh? Oh sorry." Oikawa mumbles as I give him a weird look.

'Strange must be thinking intensely about the game I guess.' I sigh as I part ways with the boys.

"As always I'm heading to my locker first, bye!" "Bye (Y/n)-Chan." Iwaizumi says, waving to me as I wave at him. "Bye (Y/n)-Chan." Oikawa mumbles, and I narrow my eyes at him. '(Y/n)-Chan...? Not (N/n)-Chan..?' I think as I walk to my locker.

Karasuno's Arrival:

As soon as Karasuno comes in and we give the automatic greeting, I scan the crowd for a specific silver-haired boy. As soon as I spot him, the biggest smile appears on my face and before anybody realizes it, I'm tackling Koshi to the ground.

"KOSHIII!" I shout as he falls onto the ground. "Ow-" He stops as his eyes widen. "(Y/NNN)!" He shouts back with equivalent excitement and hugs me tightly. "It's been so long how are you!" I say jumping off of him and helping him up. "Good good! How are you!?" He says and I give a goofy smile. "I've been purr-fect," I say and burst into laughter.

I hear groans throughout the gym as well as a few chuckles. "Of course." He says with a chuckle as I wipe the tears that formed in my eyes.

"Uh- Suga-Kun, who's this?" A brown-haired boy asks, walking over to us. "Oh right, Daichi-Kun this is (L/n), (F/n). (Y/n), this is Sawamura, Daichi. He's the captain of my team." Koshi says with a smile and I smile at Dachi.

"Hi, Daichi-San! I'm (Y/n), Koshi's cousin!" I say with a bright smile. There are gasps throughout the gym as Daichi smiles. "Oh, you're the girl Suga-Kun told us about on the way here." I give a bright smile. "Y30! Now I'll let you guys get ready now, bye Ko!" I say and head over to my team.

"What was- that?" Irihata says as he motions to Karasuno. "Gomen, I haven't seen my cousin in years." I say, laughing awkwardly. "You have a cousin on that team!?" Hanamaki asks in disbelief. "Yep!" I say with a bright smile, "Why does everyone react like that?" I ask turning to Iwaizumi. "He's on the opposite team." Iwaizumi mumbles, irritation flowing off of him.

I look at him curiously until I realize Oikawa isn't here. I scoff, "Wow, where's that flat-ass when he needs to be here." I grumble in irritation and Iwaizumi chuckles. "You look like you want to kill him as well." "I haven't decided his slow but painful death yet, but you're correct," I say, narrowing my eyes at the door.

AHHHHHHH! I'M SORRY BUT IT'S GETTING TO THE 'GOOD PART!'

I HAVEN'T EVEN TYPED THAT MUCH ROMANCE OR ANYTHING EITHER!
